News from www.canopypiloting.com The Mile Hi Swoop Park is coming right along and will feature several new additions for the upcoming PST event. The swoop park has just recieved all new inflatable course markers which will be used in conjunction with the PST's electronic timing system and gate buzzers. All the competition courses were surveyed and placed in fixed positions at the bottom of the pond before it was filled with water. Each position was anchored with a flat 45lb weight under the dirt at the bottom of the pond. Each anchor position was built with a bungee cord that can be attached to the inflatable markers that float on the surface and define the course. This new layout will make for faster course changes between events and less course maintence. In addition to the new inflatable courses and electronic timing system the swoop park will feature bleachers, score board, packing area, catered food, vendor area, parking and it's very own paved road access! Next event at the Swoop Park is the PST Mile Hi Canopy Cup June 9-11, 2006.

CPC non X Braced Competition
CanopyPiloting replied to CanopyPiloting's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
hey Jim, I was thinking, what if someone wants the camp, "and they fly a crossbraced" but dont want to compete, will you allow that if you have the room available? Yes, they could join the camp and I may even give them some added material but keep in mind that the seminars/coaching I will give at this camp will be for rookie and advanced level pilots flying a non X braced canopy. The CPC Swoop Camp... First, it is designed for pilots wanting to start doing HP approaches and landings. Second, it is for pilots wanting to get into the CPC (amateur swoop competitions). Third, it is for experienced pilots who have not yet got onto a X braced canopy. Fourth, it is for pilots who have not had a chance to compete in a competition. -

ok for real this time any info on the JSX
CanopyPiloting replied to sight_burner's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I am alive and well. The JSX is as real as it gets and was designed long before PD's "Z bracing" was ever announced. The PD factory team saw a JSX (45 cell) prototype in my team room at Perris before PD announced the "Z bracing" at the PIA. I wish I could tell you more about the JSX but good things come to those who wait. I hope PD comes out with a canopy with "Z bracing" soon. See you guys on the tour or circuit! -
