  3. Well, I eneded up walking downtown Houston Friday night, admired this 75 story building for about 20 mins. There is an Arabic restraurant around there called Ranoosh, so I went there with some friends and smoked the Huka for awhile. Saturday I went to Astroworld thinking, everyone will be gone getting ready for the game, but I was wrong, WAY wrong. Everything had the idea to find something to do during the day before the game, and Astrowolrd was just insanely packed never been to a theme park that packed before. Just thought I would share my trip, although it isn't too exciting :). Dale ~Dale
  4. I am going to Houston for the weekend, I wanted to know if anyone knew of some fun things to do there? IE, big theme parks or maybe bungee jumping, stuff along those lines. Thanks. Dale ~Dale

  15. Thanks alot for the replies and for the great info! Orange1, you bring up a bunch of good points and thanks again. I will definitely be planning the jump from the plane to the ground. I am going to be retaking the AFF ground course again since it has been over 6 months since I last did it. The course should definitely help me out mentally. I am just the type that wants to know everything about the equipment I am using, how it works, why it works, that is another reason why I have been out so long. I don't want to be up there on blind faith. Thanks again, appreciate it. Dale ~Dale
  16. Alright, I have been out of the sport for a long time. Mainly school, but also inside fear. I had a rough 1st jump, I fractured my tailbone and my instructor dislocated his arm. I did my 2nd working tandem after that and took a ground course to get ready for AFF, but never continued. Now, I have $600 all for skydiving. I bought an old 7 cell Cloud to practice packing, Pro pack, BASE packing etc.... I have become aware of everything on the canopy and have scared myself. I don't have a problem with the freefall it is just the under canopy control. Right now I am scared the parachute won't be stable, that it could suddenly collapse and then everything will be gone. I know I am over doing my fear, but it is something I will have to face one day or another. I need some confidence from those who got through their AFF. The landing is my scariest part, although I will be loading at .73 to 1 I am still scared on the landing. Please give me some hope
  17. From what I have read, Jeb Corliss is going to attempt it in the future. Based off the Luigi landings on the vx39 landings, I think it can be done. Probably going to be landing in water and hope things work out
  18. My favorite of myself . ~Dale
  19. 1 Object, 1 Jump. It was a PCA 60 foot E at the near by lake . Gear: 235 sq/ft Cloud Canopy, MX-1 Container. Brakes were set to shallow(Not set at all), and didn't reach full pressurization before impact Yea I know it doesn't count as a B.A.S.E. jump, just a fun idea for anothe boring summer day. Dale ~Dale
  20. I am in no position to suggest B.A.S.E. advice as I have no experience, but I thought I would share my $.02. Tell me if it is dumb or plausible. You can get one of those 10-15 foot retractable dog leashes. It seems you don't want a sudden jerk on the pins when the canopy is pulled out. Well you could jog off the edge with the leash cause it will always maintain tensionanywhere you walk within its range. Then the Break Cord can be attached to the end of it and around your bridle. It will help sustain the shock to your pins and help get better separation without hitting the cord on the edge of building. Check out the picture. Let me know what you think. Dale ~Dale
  21. The maker has a site http://www.michaelconnally.com, but I don't think he is selling them or plans yet. I want one so bad, any terrain doesn't matter, or the sky of course. ~Dale
  22. This thing is the coolest RC anything I have seen. Sorry if repost. http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=HydroFoam Dale ~Dale
