Any Swatch would do the trick and you get them in any design you fancy. I usually get one every 6 months or so as they are cheap and you can change the design to match your mood. Does anyone have any recomendations for solid state cam-corder. I have my P101 in my camera helmet and use it for jumping but have been looking at getting a digital camera for general non jumping use. More and more have video recording features. Are these any good? I like the idea of having a camera that records video and only having to carry one piece of equipment around. I've been looking at the Sanyo VPC-C4. With a 1 GB card you can get 60 mins of mpeg4 video. Any thoughts on this? Would it do for capturing general everyday footage do you think? Too much is never enough! All right scud?

I think you can only make those sort of decisions based on the information at the time. At that time you may believe it but, the future is uncertain and I believe you can never say never. The BBC made a TV series of the first book in the early eighties. Very low budget compared to what would happen now but I loved it. I've just bought it on DVD and re watched it all again. I would class my self as a big fan and have read the books several times. I hope when I see the movie that I go in with an open mind and don't compare it to the original, which was actually a BBC radio play then written as a book after a very successful broadcast. A few years ago I wanted to buy my wife who was then my g/f, some lingerie. I did my home work, checked her sizes on the stuff she already had. I use shell optimax 98 ron fuel to get a better performance out of my engine. Its usually about 10 pence more than regular fuel. Around the £0.90 a litre mark not sure what that is groats and bushels for the colonials. It costs me £60 to fill my tank, that's $108. I get 250 miles on that. Fortunately all my driving is recreational so no need to waste money on going to work! I'd be pissed off if I had to waste money getting to work. I reasonably happy with the cost of running my car. If I wasn't I'd get something which could run on cheaper fuel and gave a better mileage. Owning a car is a needless luxury and you should be expected to pay for that sort of luxury. Personally I don't have a problem with fuel prices. I would like to see them double at least. That way more people couldn't afford to drive and less cars would be on the road. If the increase was in the form of VAT or sales tax then people who have to drive for business reasons would be able to claim it back directly or via their company. Its too easy for people to have and run a car these days and too dificult for me to find parking in Glasgow! Make car ownership pay as you go! I really didn't see the need for the blanket coverage in the UK over the last week. I was getting really fed up seeing a mass of queuing people in Rome and so little time dedicated to what I consider to be real world news. After he died and it was reported where's the story? Who's going to be the new guy and the funeral. Not day after day of repeated coverage. If the TV and papers are to be relied on nothing else happened this last week. Or nothing of great import. I bought a 3 pole female jack plug from a camera repair shop. He had to order it in. I used a 90 degree jack to AV and 2 phono, cable I bought from an electronic store. Maplins in the UK. A bit like Radio Shack in the states. Maybe Radio Shack would have all the parts required to make it up yourself. It works great and I don't have to remove my camera to download to video. The footage was that good that I didn't register the commercial first time around. It was the latest Sky TV ad. The last one was the wing suit BASE. UK TV is running an advert for something, not sure what, who says advertising works eh? Anyway, its a clip of someone on a dirt bike running up a ramp off a canyon, doing a back flip on the bike then launching into a base jump. Thanks for the advice. I am looking at setting up an editing station and a DVD recorder was also part of the plan. I just fancied having a dedicated player for downloading to my Mac, so that I didn't have to keep going to my helmet and pulling out the camera every time I fancied playing about with old tapes and footage. To facilitate editing and just generally make things easier and quicker. I was thinking about getting a mini DV tape player, I think sony do one but its expensive, but then I thought about getting an older cheaper model digital video camera which could be used purely as a video to download footage. Does anyone have experience of using a video camera as a video player for mini tapes and is there any flaws or potential problems in the plan? Too much is never enough! All right scud?
