You're absolutely right - you don't have to be a pro to come up with good shots. Far from it. In that case, sell the pictures in question to the highest bidder. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a noob charging for a copy if they got a good shot. That's all good. But do you think it's fair for the noob to charge customers up front knowing there's only a mere off chance he might produce something of respectable quality? Honestly, would you pay a guy with no experience to film your jumps? Would you pay a guy who on occasion captures a good shot or two but for the most part struggles just to keep a subject in frame and in focus? I mean, putting on a parachute doesn't make you a competent skydiver, does it? So why does everybody just assume that putting on a camera helmet makes you a competent camera flier???? What is wrong with paying for your own jumps while you learn the trade? Action©Sports

"It's either Me or Skydiving Hon - Choose." Anyone really heard that?

Yep. Got that one about 8 years ago. I was gone in about 10 seconds flat. Think the bitch would know better considering she has a PHD in psychology Action©Sports -
That's a bit harsh. I don't know of any police officer that treats the criminals they arrest like their mom or sister. Cops run in to scumbags of all races, shapes, sizes, and genders, who make up the most outlandish excuses in order to avoid arrest. She wasn't in any obvious pain and it's not like she was bleeding profusely - I certainly couldn't see any blood in the video. This chick had a suspended license and multiple warrants out for her arrest in addition to trying to deceive the cops with her fake temp tag. Why would they believe anything she had to say? I just don't see how it's the responsibility of the police officers to give this chick a medical check on the side of the road. Would any of you want to go diggin' in this chicks underwear to see if she was bleeding? If anything, the people in the county jail should have examined her prior to putting her in a cell. I wouldn't really bother with a .3 for tandems. A .45 is plenty wide if that's what you intend on using it for. Action©Sports

Give these guys a call: http://www.rbcd.net/ Don't know if they make Tungsten shot but the do make some pretty gnarly AP, hunting, and personal defense rounds. Action©Sports

Damn... Ruth's Chris is about the most expensive place you can eat at... Not uncommon for a dinner for two to top $100 easy. I take it you've never been to Morton's? Action©Sports

Life abroad - who's done it and how did you get sponsored?

That can be tough without relatives or a corporate gig. I spent 12 years in Sweden and a lot of time down in Austria but I have family there so it was pretty simple for me. I know several people who've gotten married for that same privilege but, that's probably not a very fun way of bypassing the system Action©Sports -
Skydivers with guns - I didn't even see any beer in those shots I like the first one - all of them are great, but the first one just stands out for some reason. Nice work! Z Action©Sports

Just go with B&H man. I've spent several thousand dollars with them and I've never had the slightest issue. Always quick and reliable. Even if you can find a better price, the extra few bucks is well worth the peace of mind...... Action©Sports

12 hour days - 3 days on 3 days off. 4 days on 4 days off. Not a bad schedule at all. And with 6 weeks paid vacation a year I really can't complain. Just take 3 days off and I get 10 days vacation

You need to get a capture card or just a fire wire card. They're pretty cheap. Action©Sports

Pretty cool. Is that a tripple exposure? Action©Sports

Never tried Lexar - I use the Scandisc Ultra cards and so far they've been working great. Action©Sports

It does make for some funny video. The TM did a gainer out the door and whipped out the drogue when he was head down and it hit me square in the face (it was perfect timing on his part, I'll post it if I can find it - that was at least 5 years ago. You don't need to go that wide, a .5 or .45 is perfect for tandems. Usually, anything wider than that will give you a fisheye effect. I usually make at least one trip around the tandem pair. One thing that looks pretty sweet is when the tandem spins in one direction while you orbit in the other. Getting steep or even a bit above during the orbit makes it look even better. It works much better if you work out a routine with the TM so you're both on the same page. Action©Sports

Thanks - I used a 15mm fisheye and slide film on that one. Action©Sports
