Brand X is the Square One brand. that's why you can't find them anywhere else. Didn't try their altimeters but other things of theirs are great.

There are two types of these tools that I used. "Power tool" bended very fast, "Pack boy" survived for years now (I replace the cord now and then, of course). Get a pack boy.

Because in this case it could kill you. This question was asked after an incident when the tandem pair was injured, which could have ended much worse.

Already read that once before, and I'm still asking, because they say how it improves the Javelin, and then mention only 3 features (that I guess are differences): cut in laterals, split leg straps and new fabrics. Is that it? Is the container exactly the same? is the rest of the harness the same? are there any other differences?

I've been looking and looking, and can't really find the differences between the regular Javelin and the Odyssey. The gear reviews on this site mention the lateral strap on the Odyssey, coming out not from the edges. Cool. What else? And is the Odyssey worth the extra $$$?

I ordered my suit from them 2 years ago, and got it on time. It is an amazing suit, fits perfectly, much more then I expected. I didn't have to be in touch with them, though. The dealer I bought it through handled everything. Good luck. Hope that when you get the suit it'll be so great you'll forget about all the hassle...

The other opinion... I prefer the Sabre 1. I jumped a Sabre1 150 for 400 jumps, and really liked it (when packed right, I had no hard openings at all!). Then I tried the Sabre2 135 (2 different canopies) for about 30 jumps and didn't like them at all. The glide ratio was lower, it was NOT as responsive, and the flare wasn't as nice. I admit - I was used to the Sabre1, but I just didn't like the 2. I didn't keep it. Sometime newer is not necessarily better...

And until you get these springs, you can use small pieces of tin foil. Works great.

Tandems - What do you do up there behind your student?

It's the first time I EVER saw a TI wearing RW suit, with grippers and all... Any special reason???
