I'd have to add The Big Lebowski to the list... "Obviouslly you're not a golfer"...

Boulder is outrageouslly expensive! I lived there during my college days and paid through the teeth to live in houses crammed with as many people as possible to keep rents remotely affordable. I would be living there now if it were not so expensive. Enjoy Westminster!
-
I may just come by there this weekend!!
-
You met me in MOAB last weekend... ya mean you dont remember me?? *sniff* (Mar introuduced us while you were packing your base rig)
-
I used to program a lot and yeah, I'd do that kind of stuff all the time. I think you have to do it to stay sane when you are looking at code for hours at a time.

The pictures that Moab Action Shots took have been posted at www.moabactionshots.com Go to "special events" and select MOAB boogie skydive 2004. edited to add: if you want to see some great pictures, look at the "RC" rolls of the Canyon jumps.

They are this weekend! (Clicky) Anyone from here going?? I'm going into the gorge on Saturday and Sunday with a few rafts to watch the BASE jumpers come off the bridge. We have several spots left on the rafts if anyone is interested in going. You must be willing to get wet, paddle in technical Class IV whitewater, and drink your share of beer. PM me if interested.

Okay I found the site. It was posted by HH himself, but overture isn't on it. It is a good resource for manual removal of many spyware programs though. Here it is for further refrence: http://www.xblock.com/product_list_full.php edited to add: It looks like it only has manual directions for some, not all programs.
-
A few weeks ago someone posted a link here to a web site with information on how to remove most of the major spyware programs. I'll see if I can find it. Fuckin spyware/adware writers. They are the lowest form of programer scum. Someone should go boondock saints on their asses.

If you know enough about the Windows OS, use hijackthis!

Where I work, it's no big deal to reformat since all pertinant data is stored on the server. In fact I am in the middle of a reformat on one of our systems right now. It's a pain in the ass, but way easier than tracking down all the processes and registry entries.
-
I usually use hijackthis, spybot search and destroy, and Ad-aware. This usually works, however lately I have had a few computers that were so deeply infected with this crap that I had to reformat and start over.

Ok so Sunny drives the speed limit. Everyone else speeds.
-
Ok, so I guess the general question I have is: can most any digitial video camera be made to fit a camera helmet, or are there only a select few that can?
-
OK so with 72 people voting, here are the results. About what I expected I guess: Not a single person follows the speed limit. Based on the responses, the average dzcommer usually exceeds the speed limit by about 12.4 MPH

You don't actually wear your rig on your bike do you?? I'm laughing about what would happen if you actually pulled the handle....
-
Yeah I did that a few weeks ago driving home from the DZ. So naturally, I put on my skydiving goggles and stuck my head out the window for a "freefall simulation"
-
I doubt skydiving causes speeding... Maybe speeding causes skydiving???
-
Based on a few posts lately and some talk around the DZ, I think it goes without saying that skydivers are speed demons when it comes to driving. So how fast do you usually go?

First off, I am very well aware that at 20 jumps, I have nowhere near the amount of experience that it takes to jump a video camera. However I want to buy a digital camcorder with firewire right now for uses other than jumping. Knowing that I may want to someday jump a camera. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what make and model of camera is reccomended?

Kinda sounds like Red bull and beer *shudders*

Hehe. I didn't even build the snowman, but I thought it made a good subject for the picture. I drove through some very heavy snow on Vail pass and around the Eisonhower tunnel on my way back to Denver last night.

I had an awesome time. I got to do jumps with Mar, CrewKeith and Groundpounder. Thanks to Clint and Skydive Arizona for putting together such a great boogie!! It was great to see so many people there! Moab is one of my favorite places on earth to begin with. Skydiving there was just awesome. The video I saw from the canyon jumps looked amazing. I'm definatly going back next year! I took the first picture on a hop'n'pop from 13k (damn it was cold up there!!) looking out towards canyonlands. The second picture is looking out toward the town of Moab and the La Sal mountians. Arches NP is in the left side of the picture. Third picture is me geeking the camera. Fourth picture is sunset saturday night. Last picture isn't of Moab at all, but a picture I took on the way...It's snowing here in Colorado!! I can't wait to get back on skis!!
