  1. Call the press, oh wait, they're suppresed , I agree with you. This is the obvious truth - the right is the controlling faction and the left are the redistributors of the money of the rich to the poor - I don't see how anyone can logically argue otherwise.
  2. Please, this American Fascist Naziism at its finest. How is it that the conservatives can call the media all liberal and then when it comes to the suppression of the press, turn around and call it a, "liberal/socialist attitude" that is propagating this suppresive movement (if true)? Pick a side of the fence and build a house on it. Yes, I know liberals love to tell us how they value freedom of the press, but when you tell a kid that the government should be running things, well, he may not remember that it's only the things you don't like. witty subliminal And then you try to compensate for the reverse assignment of controll and try to make it so the socialists and governemnt are one in the same. Let me help you with some defintions here: Socialism: A social system in which the means of producing and distributing goods are owned collectively and political power is exercized by the whole community. Liberal: Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry. There's also something about being open to new ideas and being tolerant of other's ideas and behavior, but I don't think you want to be bored with that so I'll omit it. Ok, so how is it that wanting fewer freedoms of the press lead to, "...that the liberal/socialist attitude is wearing off on students?" Hmmmm, it seems that the opposite would be true, right? Hate to break it ot you, but Communism is what you're referring to, but you want to round it off to be Socialism, which is absolutely not true that they are the same as conservatives will tell you.
  3. I want high schoolers to run the country, draft legislation, and be appointed to the US Sup Ct to make Constitutional decisions. But the notion that the religious/conservative brainwashing of the youth is effective - yep - I agree. In time they willbe convinced we don't need guns, press, privacy etc.... all in the name of being scared of terrorism..... now why is it that I'm leaving this great country, or at least planning to????
  4. I divorced myself from my team years ago, the Seattle Suckhwaks. I don't care about them, Philly ot McNabb; I just don't ike Nazi hypocrites like Limbaugh. Look, I used the McNabb remarks to establish what a racist Limbaugh is. I do like Philly and McNabb and wish they woukd have won. They covered and after about 25 differnt bets I made at the Stardust yesterday I netted 600, so I really like Philly and wish they would have won. I don't have a McNabb jersey or any Phily paraphenalia, I'm just a bettor. The central issue here is about the racist hypocrite making is remarks, not football. As for McNabb and greed, I agree at least to a degree. To say he has no care for the Philly fans, well, we can't speak for him - he seems like a nice guy. I divorced myself from football due to owners, players and all associates selling out like whores, so I generally agree that players, as a rule primarily care about their next contract. Truth be told, Limbaugh probably did him a favor. Got his name out there, and got him recognition. Yep, and McNabb handled it like a gentleman. The racist pig did him a favorby slandering him and not getting a response - I agree. Then the druggy, who originally said that druggies should be hung bythe toes, got caught abusing the stuff and that really made McNabb look like a saint - I agree the pig did McNabb a favor. There's no such thing as bad publicity and this was great for McNabb. That expression is overstated. I think this pub has ruined Limbaugh for all but the very conservative, so no more mainstreamers. He was kicked off ESPN and is probably forever relegated to some lame AM radio show. (Aside here, that's what made Pat Tillman so special in my book.) I agree. As much as this war is our Murderer in Chief's Viet Nam POS, Tillman and all the troops, live or dead ARE heros and Tillman was unique and will live forever. We live in a capitalist society. He wants it and doesn't really care if it has to come out of your pocket to get into his. Are you talking Limbaugh here? Donovan plays football and brings excitement for millions. When he leverages for more money he gets lawyer agent to negotiate behind closed doors. When Limbaugh goes to work he spreads hate over the airways and brings hurt to people for sensationalization's sake; who's the pig here? The owners are no better. Look at the greats and look at with whom they played their final games; Montana, Namath, Rice, E. Smith, you name them. If Mantle were playing today he would probably wind up his career in San Diego. There aren't a lot of Papa Halas' or Art Rooney's left out there. Right, look at Cleveland moving to Baltimore - broke the hearts of Clev faithfull. So I don't care about owners either. I'm not sure who we need to be more disgusted with; owners or players. The topic to this thread has everything to do with Libaugh and nothing with Donovan, I just used the latter to exemplify my point about the pig. If you really want to make something from your loyalty, go find a sports book and put some greenbacks down. Make more of your money off of them. Ironic you write tis after I already stated that I did! I agree, I handicap games and place my bets. Me? I'm gonna go see if the King Air is flying. Best idea yet! BTW, that friken skydiving commercial was great. One question, where were there goggles? .... oops
  5. Never knock on Death's door. Ring the bell and run away ...he really hates that! Thanks, I think I read where someone wrote, "skydivers" before that. Thanks
  6. Something about skydivers not being suicidal, but knocking on the devils door and running like hell? Anyone know it?????
  7. Funny. I was looking for the "blowhard" option on the poll. -Josh Naw, I just thought I would revisit that ignorant remark right b4 Donovan's shot at the prize. Regardless of win or loss, I think Donovan has proven his Limbaugh the jackoff that he is by just ignoring him and doing his business as usual on the field. I just don't understand the demographic that would lidten to Limbaugh....
  8. Woaw. I didn't know that. As much as I despise Bush, Strom Thurmond and the type, kids are off limits. What kind of fucks would listen to and admire that dirty asshole after that? As someone earlier wrote that I listen to him, hence know what he says, I don't and would have noted that remark had I heard it. Actually I was forced to listen to the dirty asshole with his short stint on ESPN ( I think) football pregame. Well, I gues sthe right wingers are right about drug abuse and deterioration of the mind leading to irratic behavior - why isn't one of their spokespersons ousted for being such doink?
  9. Rush stuck his foot deep in his mouth on this one, but you're crazy if you want to prove that McNabb is the better quarterback. One is 8-0 in playoff games and trying to win a third superbowl in 4 years. McNabb had a great season, and has taken his team to the NFC championship game for 4 consecutive year (but losing the first 3). Hardly anything to be embarassed about, but not the same. ...but you're crazy if you want to prove that McNabb is the better quarterback. 1. McNabb doesn't have to be a better QB than Brady in order for Rush to be a blatant idiot - Brady is great, so a little less than that is still great. 2. Even now, but especially then (last year) McNabb has/ ad far less to work with than Brady and done well. One is 8-0 in playoff games and trying to win a third superbowl in 4 years. And Aikman won 3 in 4 years but can't reasonably be considered one of the greats. He had Emmit and a all-star team around him. Marino never won a Superbowl, Kelly never won a Superbowl with 4 straight trips to the game; are these guys inferior? That's like saying I'm rich, therefore I must be smart because only smart people become rich. I believe Buffalo had the best playoff percentage of any team in history during their run, I believe. If not, it's up there. And 8 games is nothing compared to the many playoff games some QB's like Kelly have played. Again, wins are a team thing, stats are more specific to a player, but are/can be skewed by surrounding players. How about when Randy Johnson would give up one or two runs and lose? His record didn't reflect his ability, his team allowed him to lose based on poor performance. McNabb had a great season, and has taken his team to the NFC championship game for 4 consecutive year (but losing the first 3). Hardly anything to be embarassed about, but not the same. Not the same as what, Brady? I will check McNabb's stats from last year, later on and get back. 3 TD's in 1 less game 6 fewer picks than Brady more throwing yards in 1 less game better passing percentage than Brady far more rushing yards and overall ability to scramble A far more inferior RB to work with than Brady ...the only rub on McNabb might be that he was sacked 6 more times than Brady.... big deal... Do the math...
  10. It is more thn obvious you do not listen to him. He was/is right. So much for..........shit, just forget it McRush Was/is right about???? What, McNabb being a product of social concern? Please explain.
  11. Many questions, most of them rhetorical. Primarily, was Rush right about McNabb being a product of social concern? Or is McNabb a great quarterback regardless of color? As an aside it's fun to watch a Rush caliber a'hole implode after saying such an idiotic, Jimmy-the-Greek kind of thing. BTW, I'm against the current implementation of Affirmative Action.
  12. I used to be a ditto head until I understood his agendas and more of the right wing agenda. Haven't heard his show ever - used to watch him on tv until the networks wised up along with me.
  13. You can clearly see that the poll is objective , so pick multi's if ya wish. What this thread is about is that Rush is (NOT) right. The TV/radio fascist/racist said that Donovan McNabb is a, "product od social concern." After that Donovan went on to win something like 11 straight games w/o a great wide reciever. Now he has that along with the freak and he is poised to lead his team to the promised land. Now, is Rush right,or is it that Donovan is a great QB? Before we call Brady a better QB, let me tell you that according to the Yahoo sports QB ranking I read the other day: McNabb = #4 Brady = #9 Brady has had 1 more game than Donovan to throw 3 less TD's and 6 more picks; is that better? Donovan has had 1 less game to throw for around 200 more yards. I would say Brady has had a better variety of receivers to throw to as well. Anyway, the question I have is that of Rush being a product of social concern, considering he is the druggy that received rehab. I'm sure he paid for it, but it is still a social thing to rehab druggies as opposed to jailing them, especially since Druggy Limbaugh advocated the latter. Rush is a hypoctitical, drug addict joke that will once again be proven wrong this Sunday, not that he hasn't been proven wrong to this point.
  14. ...that defending guilty people is wrong... But guilt/innocense isn't realized until after the defense...
  15. I have no problem with legalized prostitution. My take on individual liberty is such that I think a woman should be able to choose whether or not she provides such services. Her body, her moral system, it should be her choice. That said, I have a serious problem with the thought of a woman being pressured into such a job. My suspicion however, is that the people who are quoted in that article are alarmists simply crying wolf. Blues, Dave Don't you realize that the right ignores the ole, "you can't legislate morality" stuff?
  16. it's what you get if you make prostitution legal. Right, alcohol and cigs are ok, but not prostitution - it's the Devil's carnate...
  17. The goal was to remove a hostile nation from being a threat. Removing Saddam did part of that, but helping Iraq develop a representative government does a lot more. If that does emerge out of this election, then yes, it was worth sticking it out. I personally thought that once Saddam was caught our obligations were over. No, the rationale was to find the ellusive WMD's, period. To think that the whole thing wasn't just a ploy to go in and send a message is "dreamery" to quote what Bush might say.
  18. Don't poo-poo Hillary in 08, as there will be many, many closet conservative females cheating her party to vote for a woman.
  19. This proves that the Dems didn't learn a thing from the last election. They need to move towards the moderates, not stay on the extreme left. Suits me fine though, as I favor Repubs, and with Dean in charge, we'll keep on winning! The reason the Repubs keep winning is due to the convergence of the moralists and the fiscal conservs. LBJ ran off the southern Dems by signing leg to put an end to racial inequities, so they ran to the only other palce and that has become less sympathetic to minoroties. Point it, the dou are too many to defeat....
  20. Can I get you a tissue? WHy, I'm not crying about it, just pointing out that the same illicit behavior renders opposite reactions. It really is time to leave Nazimerica to those that wish to ride it out....... wish I was closer with my school
  21. Most of the more informed naysayers haven't yet checked in on this topic (perhaps out doing night jumps), but of those few who have checked in, there has been no explanation of why the elections were a bad thing, only that they were bad and will never lead to anything good. The best explanation I can think of is that there actually are a lot of people out there who won't see this as a success, simply because doing so would make America/Bush look good. I hate to think that, but it seems to be the obvious case with many. Edited for grammar's sake. The election of a puppet government is futile, especially considering we will have to maintain it for decades or the Muslim insurgents will restiore the disorder. Remember, this is a Gihad against a religion, not a country - at least that is their perception which is what is important to them. Also, being there, if you truly are, gives you a firsthand perspective of the events, but the politics can easily escape you as you are right in the midst of it - if you are. A NASA worker doesn't become a rocket scientist simply because he/she works on the Space Shuttle. A surgical assistant doesn't become a surgeon simply because he/she hands tools to the surgeon. I think of the troops over there as heros. The fact that the action is a POS matters not, they could be in WWII and be regarded as heros by all, so just because the timing is bad, be it Viet Nam or Iraq doesn't diminish the sacrifice.
  22. Right, we need to focus on important things like blowjobs in the Oval Office. Iran-Contra was far overrated. Olie couldn't recall simple details of running guns, etc.., he had a poor memory. Clinton lied about a few million dead sperm and was impeached; Bush 1 lied about all kinds of contraband which likely led to the death of thousands of people, got a pigeaon to lie for him and wa considered clean. Brother...
  23. 1st this poll has no "academic" value I have yet to hear a first hand report that differs from the ones expressed by GQ. It is hard to debate someone that will not accept facts. If you know of anyone on this board, that is there now and agrees with your view, please let us know......... Well, it seems that the greenies have made short work of banning most of the liberal outspokens, so that's why. The US being based upon dissent, I see which side divorces themselves from the US Constitution. 1st this poll has no "academic" value Everything generally has some sort of educational value. Besides, you can any issue and have educated discussion. I have yet to hear a first hand report that differs from the ones expressed by GQ. Please, the reports are as varied as the number of reporters. It is hard to debate someone that will not accept facts. Which facts? Tell me, what is it that you want me to take judicial notice of?
