  1. If I can constructively criticize..... Dude, at jump 120 you're doing stuff that shouldn't be done before a minimum of 500, if at all. It almost sounds as if you're bragging. I'm all for kevorkian logic; if you want to kill yourself you have the right, but don't harm anyone else. I have over 300 jumps and over 3 years in the sport and I won't hook yet, if at all. I don't consider myself a safety freak either, but you're just asking to be good reading with type that wasn't made by you if you think you're pro as a 100-jump wonder. What if your outs in the future include cutting in front of someone else? Learn more funamentals first. Or, if you want to live a lot riskier w/o endangering others, then go basejump. I haven't done it yet but wanna. Glad you're ok, but chill and enjoy the sport and don't try to show-off so much.
  2. Way to be heads up. I had a cutaway on my 18th jump - it was a sniveler that I was too impatient for. I also had a real hard pull during my coach jumps as a student that the instructor said I was right for going 1 last time b4 chop. I've had 1 chop as an experienced skydiver - I trash packed - it was a spinner. It's great you get in the habit of: -Pulling >3k -practicing emergency procedures where you don't skip steps thinking about whether it matters or not that you chop b4 you go for the reserve Look at the bright side; if you want to be a tandem instructor, you already have your requisite chop done.... :)
  3. Cool, I can download a credit card!!!! Can i pick my limit? .
  4. I didn't read thru all that, but as a student I wouldn't be thinking downsize yet. I'm 210 lbs and transitioned to that, Sabre 2 210. In fact, I still fly it at over 300 jumps. I'm real ready to downsize if I had teh green, but I don't and I can wait. I can appreciate thinking ahead, but don't let a budget make you buy smaller just to save a buck down the road. Buy a canopy no smaller than you weigh. Buy an older one that is in good repair, so you won't have a lot in it, then sell it and you might even make money on it or break even. The with that money, line up a good container set up that will allow downsizing, but I would say to abandon this, "downsize me" attitiude.
