  1. Get motivated today? I've been sitting at my desk with a glazed look on my face staring into oblivion since I got to work. I've been spacing out all week, but today is really the icing on the cake. I am supposed to have completed this extremely tedious project last friday, but with each day comes a new "oh it would be great to add this" add-on. I sit down and pound it out though, just like a good corporate drone does. maybe this job isnt for me. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  2. Haha, apparently i need to go out drinking. I don't know enough about beer and the sizes it comes in. Sunny I'm sure you've seen it on numerous occasions, you might not be putting a name to a face though. See attached picture for a pint glass ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  3. I've only had to scrape ice twice this year, but damn, that was funny. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.

  5. I've consumed such an astonishing ammount of beer over the cold months, that my jump suit is a bit too tight on me anymore ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  6. Since you are going to connect multiple computers, the DSL router is probably your best bet (simply put). Personally, if you rely on a software firewall and it goes off, the attacker has already gotten too far. A router has a capability to connect 2 different networks together (your home network and the DSL providers network). A switch can only physically link machines on the same network (simplified). You most absolutely can connect both your XP machine and the apple. They both support TCP/IP which is the network protocol you need to connect to the internet. In your scenario, get a hardware DSL router. Linksys makes a decent one and setup DHCP on the DSL router. Then set your apple and the XP machine to get their IP address dynamically and the router will take care of it for you. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  7. I rode my 900rr to work yesterday and today Seattle has been tieing/setting record highs for this time of year. Pawning our shitty weather off on Canada and California. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.

  11. I'd say more like 3-4 months, as long as its not a seasonal type of deal. I just "simplified" yesterday and let me tell you, it feels GREAT! Its amazing how much crap we collect thinking, Yeah, I'll have a use for that but it costs you more to store it while waiting for said item to break, just so you can repair it for free. Anything that is not a necessity, pitch it, or you'll never decrease the size of your footprint. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  12. I'd give myself about a 2. I cant really read my name when I write it by hand so dont expect it to be any more legible when working with a monster. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  13. Some of these made me question the reliability of the info. Its a fun read, but when I got to the Ferrari Enzo as the fastest speed of 217MPH, I had to do a little googling. "The McLaren F1 holds several records, including the highest top speed (240.1 mph) and the fastest lap speed on a UK circuit (195.3 mph)." Although I am not sure if the McLaren time was recorded as a dyno top speed or an actual physical testing. Let alone, the definition of production car. And I thought I recalled the fastest a person has ran, was closer to about 28MPH? However I dont know if this article was covering a span of time or a burst effort. definately cool info though. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  14. Pool Hall 1 1. drinks are cheaper. The more drinks you drink, the better the music will get. 2. drinks are cheaper. The more drinks you drink, the better your pool game gets. No sense in paying for pool on a table that will soon be declared to be not level, have tired rails, and non-regulation sized pockets. Let alone the stick will get more crooked as the night goes on. Whatever you do, dont half ass it ;) ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  15. I used to play roller hockey all the time and loved it. Problem is all the guys we used to round up have either lost interest or moved away. How did you get started? Eventually I'd like to get on a team, but have limited ice skating time. Did you sign up for a team and learn as you go, or did you go to the "stick & puck" nights? pointers please

  17. Woke up this morning really congested, sweating, and light headed. I took some dayquil, but after climbing the stairs to my office at work, I feel like I am burning up. What an awesome way to kick off the week How is everyone else's monday? ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  18. I'm not even supposed to be jumping today... I'll admit it. I laughed. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  19. Hey billvon, Any thoughts on trying to tap the low voltage light circuit AFTER the transformer? This would require a little more electrical work and 2 dimmer switches. Also I would imagine the dimmer is a pot, could you use a lower resistance pot on the low voltage circuit to reduce the "blotchyness" of dimmer range? ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  20. actually I am kinda surprised. according to cars.com the NSX with a 3.0l gets 17/24. While this new 3.5l with alot more weight is getting almost the same. I am sure integrating iVtec isnt far off and I wonder if they could swing better numbers with that? ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  21. When I was learning to jump (AFF #6 actually, I wont forget it) I did half a barrel roll and stayed on my back for 10+ seconds. I knew I wasnt too far off from pull time and it scared me good (I looked like a dork on the video, and its completely obvious why I couldnt flip over). I learned quite a bit from that video and havent made the mistake again. Anyways, by the time I got off my back I looked over to see the pull sign in my face from my instructor. Under a good canopy at about 2,500 - 3,000ft. That instructor sold me some of his old gear, one of the things included was a 1st gen dytter. I make it a point to set it to 4,500ft when I plan to pull at 3,500ft. I also make it a point to stop manuevers and watch my alti before the dytter goes off. If the day comes where my dytter beats me to my alti, I will have a sit down and seriously re-evaluate my priorities. I think its a great tool, as long as you dont put your life in its hands. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  22. So, That's fucking, not making love - right? Sounds more like a tease to me. Arrive 10 minutes early to reservations... so what, you can walk in pitching a huge tent? I dunno about all that. I would associate fucking to the act of screwing someone you dont care all that much about (fuck buddy, g/f thats not marriage material, etc). ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
