  1. Yo DjMikeD! If you are buying a fusion 190, depending on the reserve size you get, you can keep the container long enough to, probably, downsize to a 150. I put together what your rig may "possibly" look like, I got a little creative with your colors. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  2. Is there more thant 1 place to ski on the mountain? We've driven through there several times in the last few months on highway 26. We've seen the lifts (not moving) and nothing but grass and rocks. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  3. You can't always base a canopy decision off of numbers alone. What does he fly now? How does he land? Does he like flying it? Is he picking it up fast? What direction does he intend to go? Is he looking for performance or just a ride to the ground? And for flight characteristics, what PD 190 is he considering? Look at PD's website, they've done a phenominal job documenting their canopies and publishing flight characteristic documents. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  4. I dont know about a 250 or larger, but they can get you into a container that fits a 235-249 reserve and 190-210 main. Keep in mind these measurements are typically based off of a standard 9 cell canopy. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  5. Velocity Sports Equipment makes containers in that configuration. They make a container that accepts a 218-228 Reserve and 170-190 Main. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  6. Doesn't matter what kind of jump you do or what kind of helmet you have, protect your melon. I've got a factory diver helmet and wear it on everything, birdman, freefly,rw, solo, hop n pops, etc. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  7. To find your current length, measure the webbing from the fold at the big ring to the end of the webbing where the connector link would go. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  8. I disagree. Here in seattle Honda theft is a HUGE problem. I own 3 honda's, have owned them for atleast 6 years and have never had a problem with any of them. Pretty much everyone of my friends that have owned honda's have had them stolen or broken into. The only difference is my alarm. Car alarms scare off the wanna-be criminals. It wont protect your car from someone who really wants it, but it will prevent these pre-pubescent high school lackeys from bothering you. It sounds like the alarm in question has a faulty trigger. Take it in and have it fixed to both prevent the annoyance and protect your car. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  9. The Juliana Theory. ALL of their albums... Based off of your current selection, you'll dig them. I burned an MP3 CD for my car and it hasnt left the player in over 6 months. http://www.thejulianatheory.com ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  10. UPS held a shipment from the US to Canada. It had a Main D-bag in the box, thats it. I dont know how they figure their tax, but they wanted $80 or so to release it to the customer. It was $4 in fabric and grommets. I gave them the big FU and told them to abondon the package, they decided to chalk it up as clerical error and charged me $2.10. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  11. Long trips suck. San Diego to Seattle is tough one. Where did YOU go? ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  12. With a hair cut like that, you might as well show up drunk. Good Luck! ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  13. Alan, for the most part they are pretty similar, as far as packing goes. Is there something specific you need to know right away? Give VSE a call, they may have a manual still laying around. There used to be a .pdf document on parachuteriggers.com but it doesnt seem to be available anymore. Maybe someone will have saved a copy and will post it for you. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  14. Jesus must have been one hell of a drunk to have blood like wine... I know.. I'm not making any friends with that one. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  15. Screw all this BS. Propilot, you still havent adressed the issue of shooting out the yoke of your harness in a head down issue. How is 1 way of falling out of your harness a bigger concern than any other? Just asking, not trying to be a dick, seems like alot of emotion, more than anything, wrapped up in this thread. To answer your question, I havent added a strap to my personal rig because I dont see it as a prevalent issue. I've already accepted the risk that I could die even if I do everything right and I'm not scared of it. I'm certainly not concerned with falling out the back. If your gear doesnt fit right, get it fixed. A Manufacturer cannot make a perfect fit off of measurements. They can get close but it may take a try or two to make it right. There are an infinite number of body proportions out there, to place the blame solely on the container/manufacturer is insane. You gave them the measurements and they built your rig to fit those measurements. If its not right, call them and see if you can have it modified. They probably offer a solution. Mirage offers an option called "Fancy Pants" to combat this issue. So you cant blame the manufacturer, you made the choice. I'm only offering advice, not taking jabs. Good luck with your riggin endeavors. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  16. Squeak, can you check this out for me? right-click the stage1.htm file and go to properties. In the properties box, does it give you an option to unblock? EDIT: Also. At the top of this file (starting at the second line) I replaced the following code: With this code: I'm not sure if that is going to screw up what you are trying to do or not, but it seems like the schemas are butting heads ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  17. Squeak, I'd totally be interested in seeing the code you've got going on. You're right, that is strange the links are rendered but not able to be clicked. Can you right-click them and go to properties or does it simply show up as the blue text that "looks" like its supposed to be a hyperlink? Maybe you could email me that stage1.htm file so I could have a look? I know that WYSIWYG editors like Word, Front Page, Dreamweaver can tend to bloat code, which may confuse the browser... I might even sugest trying a different browser, like firefox and see if you reproduce the same results. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  18. I understand what you are trying to do, but its not always as easy as copying and pasting from a remote location to your local drive. I understand that you have a working online web page, I also understand that you want to copy the whole thing locally to your disk so that you can do a presentation without being tied to an internet connection. I'm more than happy to help you sort this out, but not knowing you personally, we gotta get through the obvious stuff so we are on the same page. I assume you're getting a "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" message when you try to click a link from the local copy? I'm about to hop on the bike and head home. If its still a problem in a little bit, send me a PM, Email, or IM: AIM: SlurpT MSN: busta187@hotmail.com ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  19. I would guess it to be a path issue. Does the file c:\SevenOaks\Fast Track flexi\WebCT FTF\WEBCT Documents\Stage 1\Reading S1\ReadingS1.htm exist? If you click start -> run and paste that path into the run box. Hit enter. If it says "blah blah blah refers to a location that is unavailable" it means the hyperlink points to the wrong spot. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  20. Squeak, if you want to send me one of the files, I can figure out whats going on. If you have MSN messenger or AIM, PM me your handle. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  21. Doesn't look like a pyscho pack to me... You dont actually "pack" the canopy different between PRO or pyscho packing, you just bag it differently. It if were my personal canopy, I'd pyscho pack it, thats what seems to work for me. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.

  23. Why don't you think washing will work? It certainly sounds like the easiest thing to try first so no harm in giving it a go right? When I said that the channels were stuck together, dont think like a tacky kind of stuck, its more like a rubber cement (the material has fused with itself) kinda stuck. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  24. Pics attached. I don't know anything about rigging so I won't comment on the construction, best to get hold of a set and have a proper look. Gus Thanks gus! I was thinking that the handles would be made out of TypeIV, but I dont know what kind of material that is. I suppose I'll just use TypeIV unless anyone can tell me why I shouldn't. I got my pillow handles all made up, they turned out ok. I wanted to put a swage on the cable, but I found it too bulky and akward to route the cable, its a pretty big spread coming out of the handle. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
  25. Hey Gus, do you have any pictures of your cutaway handles? The originals were missing so I was going to make pillows. Yeah, the sticky stuff is weird, its like the material melted together over time. I dont think washing it will work either. I suppose I could pull the stitches and replacing that channel. ________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw.
