CPC MEET #5 @ Raeford Parachute center
HN1 replied to DALAILAMA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Make sure if you are planning on comming to this event to bring you GWPP. No jumpers will be allowed in the pond without one. We will be handing out GWPP's before the event so make sure you get one. Thanks Ryan The pilot at Raeford Skydiving is borring!! -
Hello, I am from Raeford Drop zone and we are building a Swoop pond that will be 100X300 and would like some recommendations on what kind of pond liners have been used on other ponds. I am looking for types, thicknesses and companies that produce/ install them. Any help would be nice. Thanks Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

All jumps will be 15 dollars at Raeford next weekend. That is the 20-21 of December. There is no limit on the number you can make and you can use multiple rigs. Come on out. And remember Cash and Checks only. Ryan Pilot at Raeford Aviation PK Air Park Skydiving is borring!!

If you think thats bad I heard this one time there was a pilot that was doing AFF from the plane. He gets a whole load of cat B and C jumpers and then they all jump out of the plane and the pilot puts it in a dive so he can watch. I even heard he had to dock with a spinning student to pull for them. He then debriefs all the students on landing. Well only if he doesn't have more students waiting. Skydiving is borring!!

2nd Annual Raeford MAD Boogie and Film Festival
HN1 replied to McDuck's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Dude, I don't think there is a chance in hell that the 10 tickets for 20 dollars for after the boogie will fly. Thats just my opinion though and I have been hearing that there is going to be a 10 dollar registration fee for the boogie to help offset the cost of the volunteers/ voluntolds. I mean come on who wouldn't pay 10 dollars for a boogie to get 20 dollar jumps. And i mean how else will we pay for the 40's of maddog for the swoop and chug and all the other props and other stuff. Just my two cents, Ryan Skydiving is borring!! -
Well if its a course run by Tom A at least they will get to see how many people get hurt base jumping. Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

Ya the wing rips was what i was specifically speaking of, i have seen the birdman suits wing rips come undone. the suits this happened to were brand new and i think if they would have been double stiched like other suits it would not have made the suits Nonoperable. The blade does look like it is made better than the other suits so hopefully that will not happen to anyone. But i jump the V1 and i had one side of a double stich get damaged due to use and the double stiching made the suit still good to go. Just my experiances take it for what it is worth Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

Hey, I was wondering if you could spread some light on why birdman does not use double stiching in there suits while Phoenix does. It seens to me that the double stiching really helps with durability lets say if some of the threads in one of the seems broke. And we both know i have seen at least two suits with less than 5 jumps on them have this problem. Later Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

I was thinking about this and was wondering if anyone has looked into having worse heading performance by having an under weighted wing. The way i look at it is the less weight you have on a canopy the more prone the end cells will be to not inflating which could create a twitcher opening. I think this effect would be multiplied on slider up jumps. Im just thinking this becasue i have jumped 370 sq ft canopys with an exit weight of around 210 lbs and most the time the end cells do not evenly pressurize. and i would think for wing suit base you would want a little heaver wing loading becasue of the horazantal openings. Tell me what you guys think. And as far as jumping with body armor i think if you need a full suit on every jump to feel confertable then maybe you should get out of the sport. And i think it would increase the danger with wingsuit base to add all that extra crap. but thats just my two cents, take it for what its worth. later Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

It actually takes a lot of skill to hit power lines. ya anyone can land in a huge open field but it takes awsome canopy control to hit a wire that is only one inch thick. I say keep up the good work. Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

Thanks the new pictures look awsome. What is the deal with the closing loop. it looks like it is attached to the back of the container and not to one of the flaps like standard two pin rigs. What benifits does that give you? Thanks Ryan Skydiving is borring!!
-
Hello, The pictures on your site dont really show much of the harness and how the pilot chute is stowed could you post some better pictures of the whole rig and can you post pictures with the rig open to get and idea about how the flaps work. thanks man Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

Man i would not recomend jumping in north caralina. all the base jumpers there are very unsafe and they tend to get into a lot of trouble. In fact if i were you i would move as far away from north caralina as i could. I might recomend someplace in china or maybe india. If you can get that far away from all the base jumpers in north carilina you might be safe. The north caralina unsafeness is actually contagious you could catch it. If you jump in north caralina i would recomend wearing a protective breathing mask so you dont catch the disease. For those of you that actually have the disease all ready i will be starting a support group it will meet in my trailer every tuesday night. be strong my dangourus north carilina friends togeather we can beat this disease. Just a word of advice... I would hold all possitive comments about leroy to yourself until you meet him for yourself. If you dont you will be sadly disapointed. Leroy has made lots of mistakes and i only blame him for one of them. And that is not being a Miscarriage And just to clear things up leroy did not open this object. All the ground work was done by others and we were gracious enough to invite him along for the ride. He also managed to edit out the part where we waited for 5 min for him to jump because of the "Phamtom Cars" Just my 2 cents. Later Ryan Skydiving is borring!!

I am looking to make a direct bag system for my paraglider. I need info on how they are made and how the paraglider is packed into it. I would also like to be able to use this system stactic line style out of a plane. If anyone could share some knoledge that would be great. Thanks Ryan Skydiving is borring!!
