LA is actually pretty nice. Nothing compares to Beverly Hills or Century City. You guys have class! Easy there buddy....I can't comment on that situation because I wasn't there. I don't know, I'm a guy and I have a lot of friends who are female so I would say they'd have to "Put out" to stay in my circle. lol Seriously, one option you didn't have was "Don't be a tool". I get along with anyone. Actually, another option you don't have is "stay in contact". That's very important. To stop calling me cuz you have a new boyfriend or your boyfriend would get jealous if he found out you had a male friend, that pisses me off the most! And when he leaves your ass and then all of a sudden I become your best friend again, that's a bigger insult. Same thing with my guy friends, when they stop calling me cuz they're pussy whipped and they start calling me cuz their girlfriend dumped them is f'd up too! That's not a good call. Why have your man involved when you can handle this all by yourself? Just tell him, "I'm not interested". If he doesn't get the hint, ask him to stop calling you. If your man speaks to him on the phone, and say the dude is drunk and he hears your man tell him off. Things can get heated and you might set off the psycho within him. Then, who knows what that can lead to. Like law rocket said, restraining orders are very easy to get. I'm not saying this about you but if my girlfriend asked me to get a guy to stop calling her, I would think that she can't handle shit on her own. I've seen civilians freak out and even stand there and do nothing but watch street brawls happening right in front of them. Adrenaline is never predictable. Some run and some stay to fight. You have to stop watching too many movies. Harlem is not a bad area. There are apartment complexes there that sell apartments for 1-2million dollars per unit. Harlem has become a business community. Brownsville Brooklyn and the South Bronx are worth yapping about. I would get my facts straight first before making this kind of statement. If you wrestle with a mugger on the ground and he feels your gun, he's going to go for it and shoot you too. There are too many what ifs, what you can do, what you should've done, etc in this type of situation. That all depends on the situation at that very moment. That's pretty much telling her that once she touches the gun she has to shoot and kill the other person. There have been many instances where civilians have used their guns at home to detain a suspect. First, I'm not directing this torwards you. That would sound right but how do you know the person that's about to shoot another person or stab another person wasn't the original victim that was going to get murdered or assaulted? This is the reason why so many people get hurt or even killed from robberies. Not every instance is the same of course. Some muggers will walk away if you give them your wallet, money, etc. Some will still assault you even after you do so. Some will just shoot or stab you first and then go through your pockets/wallet. We're not mind readers and we can't predict the future. There is no right or wrong approach because you have to look at the given situation first. Then, you can monday night quarterback. A few people have already mentioned this, take a CHL course first and find out what your state law says about carrying guns and find out where it is stated regarding when you can shoot and cannot shoot.
