    I dunno, I have to disagree, I thought Nic Cage was excellent - his disintegration and final turn was what carried the movie for me. I liked it's ambiguity in general, I'm really not sure it could have gotten much darker and still got a release - it was already on very thin ice dealing with it's subject matter. The directors commentary on the DVD is pretty informative also. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

    I'll second that. Even with the best spyware/av software you're in for a ton of hurt with IE simply because of how it's supposed to work. Firefox design model tends to err far more on the side of the user and that keeps your surfing safer. In real terms I can't think of any major (or minor) sites I've used recently where using Firefox degraded the experience - of course, I hang out here where a degrading experience is expected TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

    Yeah, genre movies always have a tough time - but that's because most do totally suck, those that don't will never get enough wide exposure to make a dent on the movie going psyche. No one is going to view a horror movie in serious contention because it fails on many of the levels that the Oscars pay attention to. But I think I'm still pissed 8mm never won a damn thing.     Indeed I have. Mick Foley is probably the primary reason I started training. I've still yet to meet him but the guy I manage has worked with him in New York several times. Hopefully one day I'll make the trip down and say hi. Jake was a freaking mess in that movie, he seems to bounce backwards and forwards. I saw him really messed up at an ECW event as the special guest (him, not me), and then he screwed up the Legends of Wrestling PPV - now it seems he's a little cleaner and healthier. It's a shame, he really has such an awesome presence and persona. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

    Glad to see Kanyon working again. That guy is excellent - has a brilliant mind for the business and doesn't ever get the credit he deserves for bringing new things into the US product. I'm not sure the gay thing is a gimmick or not (and apparently that was his announcement that he, and not just the gimmick were, on further reading: edit) - neither do I care, but I REALLY like what he's doing with it publicly (as the rasslin promoters always tend to book the gay guys with exactly the same stereotypical gimmick and his 'coming out' is more about messing with that perception). I'm hoping to meet Jake at some point - while I missed that era of American wrestling he's the one name that people tend to use when they hear my promos, so I'd like to find out more about the guy. Sounds like a great show, hopefully they'll run something similar up here. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

I found threatening it with a gun and telling it to fly me to Chile resulted in nothing more than the need for a new monitor. Did you know Google are hosting personal webpages now? Since the first day I saw your avatar I have felt it like a party in my mind and when the opportunity to borrow it arose - due to the 'hijack someone elses avatar' thread, I wanted to share my appreciation and pay tribute publicly.     You can use a car to transport things - legal and illegal. You can use a car as a getaway vehicle from a crime, or just to get yourself to the shops. Bit Torrent is merely a carrier, a tool - in itself it is not illegal. There are many legitimate uses for torrent technology. A torrent file itself is legal, since it merely describes information. The material that torrent file may point to may or may not be protected by copyright. Downloading the image of software you already own and have the serial numbers for wouldn't seem to be illegal (at least, my license here reads that I did not buy anything physical, merely the rights to use the software - of course, it doesn't mention method of aquisition directly). Bit torrent technology is pretty cool in the way that it works. You shouldn't be able to ban software simply because it can be used for illegal purposes. Unfortunately the waiter is a twisted soul and rather than the usual 'Thank you!' with crappy smiley face scrawled on your receipt the scrawl reads: "Just thought I'd let you know there was _______ in your food" Which would cause you the least amount of anxiety?
