  1. This sculpture was done entirely with a hammer and chisel apparently, and no computers at all....if so it's pretty fucking sweet here TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  2. Why? it's a drawing program. Do you scoff at an artist who uses only a sketch book and a pencil? MS Movie Maker is the same way, it lacks the bells and whistles of high end professional editing environments. have people forgotten that it's the artist's talent and not the software? A traditional artist won't rave on about how awesome his new oils are while showing his friends how awesome the packaging they are stored in is. He'll show them pictures he painted using them. Geeks get caught up in the machine too easily, often blinding themselves to what's important. Hence shitty computer art. PS, the picture itself was average and looks like it was drawn by a 16 year old. Of course, it's slightly more impressive that it was done on a mouse and not a light pen. BUT ITS STILL JUST A DIFFERENT MEDIUM!! TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

  4. According to my dentist: the pain afterwards is somewhat random, sometimes little sometimes a great deal. My first extraction was difficult and was really painful for about two weeks. The second (this one) wasnt so bad, because of that I've been forgetting to take painkillers for it. The first day I didnt do solid food, but with both I was back to eating normal food the next evening. Twinges for about 6 months are normal as the bone grows back, but other than that it's not like I've been crippled by either of them, only one was more traumatic (damage wise) than the other. 13. A programmer once built a vast database containing all the literature, facts, figures, and data in the world. Then he built an advanced querying system that linked that knowledge together, allowing him to wander through the database at will. Satisfied and pleased, he sat down before his computer to enjoy the fruits of his labor. After three minutes, the programmer had a headache. After three hours, the programmer felt ill. After three days, the programmer destroyed his database. When asked why, he replied: "That system put the world at my fingertips. I could go anywhere, see anything. Because I was no longer limited by external conditions, I had no excuse for not knowing everything there is to know. I could neither sleep nor eat. All I could do was wander through the database. Now I can rest." - From ‘The Zen of Programming’ pub. 1988. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

  25. You bring up a salient point. The war in Iraq would be a lot more entertaining if both sides would take a little time to learn a martial art and how to use a katana. THATS compelling television!!! Thats how we should be fighting our wars. Make it look like The Last Samurai or a John Woo movie. All this reality shit is really getting in the way. how can you root for the good guys? Fuck that. Bullet time and a techno/industrial soundtrack and I'm there baby!! (I apologize for the lack of dick jokes). TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
