:8:0 Did eight team jumps...ALL THIS MORNING. The weather has been shit all month, so when today turned out nice, I called work and told them I'd, uh, be a little late. Got to the DZ at 7 a.m., left around 3 p.m. My broken ass hurts from all that creeping. It was really good day. And now I must create fine journalism for another eight hours. Skydiving is for cool people only

I'm the inside center on a new four-way team. I have the fewest jumps, around 200, and the most anyone has is 500. None of us have done any four-way before. We train about two weekends a month. I need some help on my exits. I give the count, but I'm having a hell of a time leaving with my team. Every time we watch the video, someone on the dropzone invariably comes up and says, "your inside center is leaving late." I KNOW I AM. BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO HELP IT. Of course my leaving late means my feet catch the prop blast, and it's only if we're lucky that I don't flip over the top. We have a coach, and a couple of things she's told me have improved our exits quite a bit. For one, I'm not waiting until "go" to leave. My body's already almost moving on "set." For another, I lock eyes on the outside center during exit to make sure I'm leaving with him. Even so, 25 jumps into our training and I'm still regularly fubaring the exits. Does anyone have any ideas? Skydiving is for cool people only

Do you need any coffee and bagels? I assume Bill provided all the S&M equipment you'll need. Whatever you guys decide, I think it's cool. I made a lot of friends via Talkback back in the day, but that was a different age. Skydiving is for cool people only
