Ok, horrible advice here but....Have a friend review your emergency procedures with you (for free) and then forge your logbook! $250...hell no!!! With 125 skydives you don't need $250 worth of retraining. Damn am I going to get hell for this post!

In reality none of this makes a difference (at least very little compared to...) the biggest thing is if the tow line is static or if it pays out line as you're being towed. That is what kills people, a static tow line.

Actually, the best thing to do is rinse it in some alcohol to evaporate out the water. I'm not sure on this part but you may want to dunk it in distilled water first to get out the crud then use the alcohol. Whatever you do, get the battery out a soon as you can.
