Just wanted to let you all know what ended up happening with the “Get NickDG to Bridge Day Fund”. Enough money was raised to cover Nick’s costs for Bridge Day. There was approximately $400 left over that Nick decided to donate to the building of a skateboard park in Fayetteville. The donation was done in the name of the Bridge Day 2005 BASE jumpers. Thanks everyone for making a donation! It was good to be able to hang out with Nick at BD this year!! Cya, Russel

I've never used WLO's but I think my setup works faster than them. All you have to do is just pop the toggle to get the ring to release. Just like you would with any ordinary toggle.

You're right and those line twists scared the crap out of me. I just meant (which I forgot to state) that's the only problem I've had and I only had it that once. Once out of several head down openings. I'm surprised.

I'll admit I'm also a little surprised how well our gear works. I hear so often how bad it is to go head low on jumps but let me tell you, I think I've been head first (freeflyin' ) during deployment on about half of all my jumps! Worst I've had was several line twists, just this past BD '05.

Truthfully, I'm a little torn on this one. I'm a big cat person but deep down inside I'd love to see this and would probably laugh my ass off watching it. So I propose instead of a cat, we use a dog! A little chihuahua would be good with a 46" PC I think.

Is anyone from the LA area driving to Moab on Wednesday night or Thursday sometime for the Turkey Boogie? I already have a ride back but am looking for a ride there instead of having to buy a one way plane ticket.

Oops I didn't read your post properly the first time. The San Jacinto Monument IS 570' tall so maybe that was what I read about. Now I'm curious. I'm guessing you're right thoguh. Oh well.

Are you sure? I'd bet money I saw a picture of it and the caption said it was the Washington monument. A guy jumped from some window up at the top of something. 575' rings a bell. I'll see if I can find that magazine.

If I remember correctly someone jumped it many years ago. I think I saw a picture of it in Skydiving Magazine before I even started skydiving. Is it something on the order of 570 some odd feet tall? If so then yes it's been jumped before by someone.
