  1. I think the .3 is good for coaching and inside video, but not the best for all around video. (I use a .43 kenko lens... I like it, but I know it's not for everyone, especially paired with the 1000)
  2. why better off with a .5??? .45 & .43 are a good balance of wide angle, yet very minor distortion. .5 isn't really wide enough when your close to anyone.
  3. PAige, you and Ari are such... SUPERSTARS!!!!!! I would love to get a hold of that footage!
  4. the sigma 15mm does not change it's length when it focuses...
  5. i vote sigma... the canon looks like the same material my canon kit lens is made of... It feels like a cheap plastic lens, also the front of the lens rotates as it focuses which kinda sucks. the 15mm is a prime lens with a larger aperture so the photos will be more accurate with less flaws The sigma feels solid. (keep in mind that with the 1.6 crop factor it's more like a 22mm)
  6. Yet the manual specifically says not to use compressed air to clean dust in the camera. Insead you should use one of those blowers that you squeeze and air comes out...
  7. on aztc night you just pay for the tunnel time...
  8. < Shift - Apple - 4 - then click the Space bar > the mouse becomes a camera... any window it is over, it will take a pic of the entire window. Even if a window is only showing a tiny little bit, it will still take the whole window.
  9. bubble burster, you meant the EX is for digital...
  10. Aperture isn't really used for editing pics so much as Photoshop CS is... Photoshop Elements is a cheaper solution
  11. JohnnyK I'm waiting for the intel tower too... ...patiently
  12. i think the 350 is winder than the 1000
  13. the 1.6 crop factor makes the image less wide, not more wide. So a 20mm lens is really 32mm after the crop factor conversion.
  14. Dude if you want to top mount the camera, buy a box for it... it's much safer for the camera anyway (especially on a top mount), and it'll make taking the camera out much easier!
  15. I use it with Photoshop much more than instead of Photoshop... http://www.apple.com/aperture There are some videos that show what it's like.
  16. Work at a school or be a student and get a nice discount too... (It seems that side by side comparisions of equivalant machines actually have a very close pricing...)
  17. http://images.apple.com/promo/aperture/pdf/ApertureRebate.pdf $200 back for regular price, $100 for education
  18. OK, gotcha! Orlando it is... We'll find tix for the summer and make it happen!
  19. Paige, are you moving to NH? If so, we'll definitely come out and play! Orlando will take more planning, but we can make that happen too!
  20. I didn't know there was a cutaway system for the RAWA...
  21. Photography on the Net is a site dedicated to amateur and professional canon photography. Also, shooting exclusively in RAW will give you way more control of adjustments on the computer. Proper White Balance can be achieved by shooting a piece of White Paper or Board under the same lighting that your subject will be under and then setting your camera to reference that pic under the custom white balance settings (see manual for specific instructions). Custom White Balance settings are not critical when shooting in RAW, with a Flash, or in Freefall because you can adjust in Post Processing.
  22. By moving the ISO to 100 and keeping the shutter above say 500, the aperture will naturally become larger (a smaller number).
