I was hoping that it would not be me… that I would not be the one to write this. Yet, I want all of you to know. Over this past weekend we lost one of our family, Chris Wittgartner. Chris went in on Saturday during the Puerto Rico Boogie. When Chris first showed up at CK, he had that look of a newbie, not knowing the who, the where etc. I introduced myself to him and asked him about his flying skills, number of jumps, all of the usual stuff. He was a big guy in stature, yet he was a little kid in attitude (just like me) and wanted to get better at sit flying. So, I told him that I would be happy to take him up and video some of his jumps so that he could see how he was doing (I am not a coach). Chris improved quickly, and really wanted to learn everything and do everything, he even started BASE jumping. He had gotten back from Idaho and had great video of his BASE jumps from the bridge. We were all just down in Sebastian over the holidays and had a fun dinner together in our condo… sort of CK expatriates all together in Sebastian (of course all we did was watch each others videos!) I had planned on going to Puerto Rico, (with about 20 others from CK), yet I had to cancel at the last minute to come out to Elsinore. The weekend before everyone left was the Freeze Fest Boogie at CK. On that Saturday Chris and I had a long conversation about life, about what was important, about how wonderful it was that we shared something special, something that had changed us forever, something that we both loved and something we just had to simply smile about. Ummmm, so there I was sitting on the floor early Christmas morning……. Yeah, I was like exhausted…… whew!.. I had to open soooo many, many presents……. Like, ummm I mean, the maid had to help me pile up all of the gifts….. Like it made a pile as high as the… ummm, 40 ft Christmas tree!…… yeah, the huge tree in the ummmm…… den!, yeah……the huge den!……. The one with the fireplace……… that one…… yeah!. So there I was just thinking to myself ….. “how fortunate a man I am to have sooo many dear and loving friends”….. yeah, like “they must really, really love me…… cause I’m soooooo nice”. Nice….. yup, that’s me…… I’m the nicest guy in the world!….. Got an award for it too!….. Yup…… soooo, my gifts, yeah……. I bet your jealous huh?…. ummmm…… So how about my girl friend’s gift?……… it was …. ummmm…. different………yeah, really unique…….ummmm…… she gave me my freedom, very thoughtful of her I thought…….yup, very thoughtful……ummm… and then she gave herself to a total stranger…….. wow, huh?…….shes………ummm, just great……huh?…… what a kind and loving gesture……. Yeah, very kind…………. Sooo much love I thought. So…..ummm….I just had to give some back….. cause, …ummm…. Im such a nice guy.. right? So I got into the……ummmm……red ferrari ……… yeah red, cause the black one is for new years eve…….. and then I …..ummmm…… headed off to the.. ummm…. the local soup kitchen, yeah….. that place, you know. Well, …..ummm, yeah....... ummmm, like I was driving there, and ummm…. well, there was this huge accident in the road....... yeah that's it...... a HUGE accident.......cop cars, fire trucks, cranes…. They were all there… ummm… ya see there was this sleigh that kinda fell out of the sky......yup… well, it like crash landed...... yeah that's it......... it crashed right onto the highway….. well, yeah, ummmm….. it had to make an emergency landing on the highway…. Yeah, ummm…… there was an emergency!…… ummmm…… cause there was this terrorist on board......... yup, can you believe it!......... Well, anyway, they had the whole highway blocked off so I couldn't get there and I had to turn around and come back home. Sooo, on the way back home I get this vision.......uh huh, like ya know...... divine intervention..... angels and trumpets and stuff...... and there's this one angel and she says… "thou art not to go home"........ huh?.....I thought........"Thou are to go to the place known as…… "Angels on Earth"......... Wow!....... the angel is talking to me!.......Why? I said… So the angel says back to me….. “Cause thou art such a nice guy”….. So I follow this vision in the sky right...... and she leads me down the highway to this ummm…….building with a big parking lot........ and then she disappears........ Well wouldn't ya know it, I look at the sign above the place and it says.......... "Angels on Earth Gentlemen's Club"....... Go figure….. fruce http://www.fruce.com
