If you have a total and do not pull your reserve handle your AAD will fire and your MARD will release it's hold on the reserve bridle allowing the reserve P/C to deploy the freebag and canopy in the usual way. If you pull the handle on time the same thing will happen. The MARD releasing is accomplished in different ways depending on the manufacturer so the exact sequence will depend on the design. The specific information for each is available on their websites. MARDs add considerable complexity to reserve deployment systems and require careful attention from riggers. Manufacturers go to great lengths to make them as foolproof as possible. It is regrettable that once the container is closed there is no way short of opening it to check for correct rigging.

The reason it was kept quiet was that there was never a single plan made at any one time. It came out of a conference in 1942 and it grew from there. For most of the Nazi era it simply did not exist. It was actually "the Jewish question" and the final solution was so named because it was seen as the answer. After that it was indeed kept as quiet as a wholesale organized slaughter of millions of innocent people could be. Because they all knew it was a crime of immense proportions.

I also believe the parallel being drawn by Bill is largely over stated. Mostly because the circumstances of 1930's Germany were so very different from today's America. But the comparison is interesting nonetheless.

The polls do not tell who will be motivated to come out and vote. Biden is done. If you and the D party want to believe otherwise it will be at your peril.

It's not media hype. Those who watched the debate saw what they saw and came to their conclusions before the media got a chance to tell them what to think. There is no way to undo that.

Mechanism is tough. Timing is ASAP. There are plenty of better candidates. Last time around Biden was able to beat Trump. He is a very weak candidate himself. He barely managed to beat HRC. At this point anyone halfway decent will likely get a very grateful nation to finally have a real leader to vote for. You have nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear of Trump winning again was what got Biden nominated last time. No one really wanted him.

The answer is obvious. It was already a close race before Biden demonstrated that he is teetering on the edge of senility. It is no longer even close. And he will drag the party down with him if he chooses to continue anyway.

He has shown up periods of time that are up to a half hour or so. We are talking about another 4 year term in an extremely stressful and important job. It is reckless for the D party to foist this upon the nation. He is going to lose bigly if he does not bow out.

Yes, some octogenarians would be able to do the job. But Biden has shown good reason to believe he is not one of them.

Yes, and Trump was in fact pretty much at his best. A very sad performance with very bad implications from both.

Unfortunately what they are saying appears true. The only reasons to vote for Biden at this time all have nothing to do with him being effective as a leader. And there is no reason to believe his decline will not continue and good reason to believe it will accelerate. And he is likely to drive so many voters away that the party of darkness will do far better than it should.

It’s nice that he can still stand at a podium and read a speech from a teleprompter. But that won’t be enough to undo the damage. Nor should it be.
