Im sad I will miss the Foam Party. Damned work. I was having so much fun jumping there. Netheravon is a great DZ!!!

  4. Whats bulk price for 10 hours? Is there deals for eg. 30 hours, shared among a few teams that train together during a few camps, over the season?
  5. Yes, I vote for DeLand as well. The people there are amazing!
  6. Stress is caused by chemicals released in the body. I like to go to the fitness center (or ride my bike in the nature) if Im stressed or moody, physical tiredness after working out - and the chemicals (Endorfin for one) released in the body upon hard physical work will reduce the amounts of Adrenalin and Cortisol, and soothe the stress symptoms. Plus it makes me feel better, on a mental state
  7. Quote from above: 1. You pretty much live in that suit when training. No bootie zippers may be sturdier but not very practical. Get the biggest leg zips you can. If you need a super sturdy suit, then invest in (two suits and have) a competition only suit with no bootie zippers. / end quote. No, as far as possible train in the same type of jumpsuit that you will be wearing for competition. dgskydive: Tony suit Pit Special with Mega Airspeed booties!!!! I have one of thoose, I dont think the vented Mega Airspeed Bootie is that good. My next suit will be a Bev competition suit. _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.
  8. And one more ... Yeah I forgot to attach it
  9. Here is some from our little c-182 turbo rg.
  10. When I coach 1-1 BBF I charge $5 if Im wearing video, besides my slot. How else should I pay my video and helmet, that I bought solely for the purpose of better debreif? On the other hand, I have often bought jump tickets to "funjump" with newer jumpers, simply because I like to see their faces when we land! When I get two-on-two coaching I typically pay the slots of the people I jump with, plus the video. And at camps I have hired two coaches and payed great sums... It can be worth it.
  11. As an BBF (Basic Body Flight Instructor, Skydive University Program) I coach students in freefall flying. However we would all like the BBF to also involve basic canopy piloting, as its part of the skydive to land safely and having learned new things during the entire skydive. Therefore we are trying to further develop our "Instructors Manual", to include more than the "landing pattern". But I need a toolbox of some sort. I have been to a Brian Germain cource, and willl use parts from this in teaching. But specific tools for new students (with 25-50 jumps) and drills are needed. What can you reccommend? Any links or suggestions? In advance thank you. _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.
  12. I thought I had this one figured out. My parents are "young parents", open minded and supportive rather than holding me back. So when I began skydiving I had their support from day one. But their worries increased, as they followed the sport for a few years. They saw accidents and became frightened. It is a side of skydiving they wish to ignore, but with a child skydiving, its impossible to pay no mind to the dangers involved. My father who had been on one static-line jump and one AFF jump, stopped skydiving as he was afraid to leave behind the family. My mother still want to try an AFF, but both of them have promised each other not to do it regulairly. Actually Im glad. I had to repack my dads canopy myself, checked his gear twice, and only let him go with specific instructors. I was concerned and felt relieved when I saw him land safely. So its a worry that goes both ways.... They come to all our competitions, but when I am away on trainingcamp, they call every single day checking up on me and dont rest until Im home. And they worry a great deal about my plans to work within skydiving and spend 3-5 years outside of Denmark, before "setteling down". For them insight in the sport only made them worry more. They feel good about the reserves, AADs and like, but generally the closer they came to the sport, the more they worried. We debate it often. How safe you are, when taking safety precautions, how much you as an individual can do to prevent accidents, and if it is all worth the risks. _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.
  13. It does not look girly. However think carefully. Choose colors you care to look at for many years to come. How it matches your current jumpsuit is not relevant, as you will have many other jumpsuits in the time to come. Choose the colors / design because it looks great in your eyes, not because it "matches". _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.
  14. Wanted to do a follow-up on this subject, as I know that many use the search function, to seek advice on previously discussed subjects. I ordered the Tony suit with vented bootie. The suit itself is great. Good fit, although they tend to place knees a bit low. Great service as well. But the booties sucks! Compared to Rainbows booties, or Bevs, they just don't cut it. They feel... soft, somehow. Not enough power! Next time Im getting a bootie option with a single, tight seam in front of the bootie. This seems to make the bootie more "steerable" and powerfull. _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.
  15. Bloks are more than just figures, they are moves. I found that I had an easier time learning them, when I practiced them by walking them over and over again with the team. The first few times we walked them we had a coach present and made notes with the figures, on how to do our moves. When not training I visualised and talked byself through the blockmoves, by using the notes. (Have both picture of blok as it looks in divepool and picture of how we cheat it). Edited to second the suggestion of watching video. The top-view is good for learning the block, but especially good for "overviewing" the whole formation, for later on when you will need to know the blockmoves from other slots, or be able to await a key, etc.
  16. Skydive University has some outstanding material. Their video explains basic body flight! I think you can order it of their website! http://www.skydiveu.com/ http://www.skydiveu.com/flash/videos.htm _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.
  17. Yup, I do that too. Microwave them untill they are soft and warm inside. mMmmm!
  18. Why do we travel the distance (live in Denmark, Scandinavia, Northern Europe)? 1) The tunnel is perfect for basics. One on one with coach. 2) The tunnel is great for training speed on random work. 3) The unique references from tunnel walls, to train precision. 4) 2 minutes fly time, and the possibility of doing serious amouts of training within very short time frame. 5) For the fun of it! Its the best toy ever build. Period! _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.

  22. Okay, so I did not investigate thoroughly this puzzle before using it. I was running late in planning a larger employee magazine for one of my customers, and borrowed a puzzle of the internet for the Brain Teaser section. And now I desperately need the answer. Next edition, deadline this week, must include the answer. Can you help me? Any one know the answer? Thank you for saving my ass!
  23. The one with only jumping when everybody is okay with the winds are VERY important! Others we have used on my two teams: All land together, if the spot was bad. (Or in your case if only one cant make it home, you land with that person and the rest head for home) (safety) No heavy drinking the night before training (safety) Wait until everybody has landed and is is gathered after the jump, before going to the packing area. (social) The coach is always right (ease and efficiency) Debrief only yourself, start with the good things, then things that need improvements. If a person leaves out something they should improve, let the coach be the one to say so. (ease and efficiency) Hold team meetings after training has ended. Pass the rock, the one with the rock has the right to speak undisturbed. (social, and efficiency Agree upon how much training and set team goals. Make them do individual goals as well. (motivation) Do fun jumps together, as a team. (motivation) And lots more.... _________________________________________________________ Your success and happiness, is in direct proportions to your commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavour.
