  1. I researched come more and find it`s FOV is narrower than Canon kit lens. The plan was to only jump it at it`s widest end, but I could still use it in everyday ground shooting. My MC Zenitar 16mm is wide enough, but it is heavy and has zero automatic functions Any other lens to recommend in that price range? dudeist skydiver #42
  2. Hi, does anybody use this lens (Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 AF DC Macro) for skydiving? There was significant price drop on the local market and it`s about 220 euros now, so I`m considering replacement for my kit Canon lens (and Russian Zenitar 16mm that I sometimes use). Camera is Canon 400D. * On DZ.com I only found info on Sigma 17-35. blues! dudeist skydiver #42
  3. +1 I was vidiot on one such jump. The scream was so loud that the camera recorded it even if it was in the box and in freefall. dudeist skydiver #42
  4. Just ask me and I`ll explain it to you. With video. You should jump more. dudeist skydiver #42
  5. On the serious side, couple of years ago we had a student who somehow managed, after his right shoulder got dislocated, to open main with his left hand (BOC PC). Can`t remember the way he landed though. dudeist skydiver #42
  6. Do you have any uploaded tandem video? dudeist skydiver #42
  7. i went back into dell downloads and put in my service tag instead of model number and it gave me a completely different list of drivers. this worked. thank you. see, it was the drivers dudeist skydiver #42
  8. - Is it possible that you don`t have good version of the driver, or driver for Vista which you are trying to install on XP? lots of manufacturers were pushing users to install Vista and they were not distributing XP drivers. you then have to find some other way for obtaining driver, but if you know which chip(set) it is, usually you could find one online. - if it`s desktop computer, you can easily and for cheap replace LAN card, but if it`s laptop it is more difficult. with laptop you could install wireless (PCMCIA) card, or external LAN card... but i bet it`s the driver version problem. my2c dudeist skydiver #42
  9. Same thing almost happened to me once; At breakoff I looked down just in time to see a pilot chute coming at me. I went into the hardest track I could, and I think I my toes missed the inflating canopy by ~4 feet. I've had my near misses too. Late 90's, a 6 way went to shit around 7000 feet. Some girl in my group ended up about 50 or so feet below me. I saw her reach for her helmet with her left hand, and then her right hand went for her pull-out, for a second I wondered what the fuck is going on, then all of a sudden FUCK! Quick mad dash out of there just in time to see the bitch shoot up just mere feet behind me. I raised hell when I got on the ground. She avoided me the rest of the day, but that night she meekly came to me and explained what happened. She thought her helmet was gonna fly off since the strap came undone (Factory Diver with velcro strap) so she dumped in place not thinking about who was nearby. In the end, my eyes were exactly where they should have been given the situation. If not, I might not be here. Very similar thing happened to me too. Except it was 5-way it was a guy and it was a brain-lock. After we funneled he got stable and immediately pulled at 7k. While he was 10 feet below me.... You know, when you can see him going for a PC and you can do shit about it except to try to get away from him... dudeist skydiver #42
  10. That rules me out then. Oh, well.... When I was in Kolomna last summer, i met a lot of "Nordic" people. Everybody were very good at speaking at least one foreign language. One Danish guy spoke English with me, French with French dudes, and all of the other languages with Norwegians, Sweedes and Finish people... I guess it`s the school system. dudeist skydiver #42
  11. What does your company do? I`m also candidate for relocation. Can`t speak Svenska for shit. dudeist skydiver #42
  12. My father always says that I don`t eat enough bacon. You know, "Eat more bacon! Get some color on your cheeks!". ...and then you have your first heart attack at 35. dudeist skydiver #42

  15. Serbian holidays are officially over. Last night was New Year (if you are counting time by old calendar). Yup, we have 2 New Years. Apart from that, weather is crap. No snow. Just fckin rain. And flooding... Been to visit my family in Bosnia, same shit. Still haven`t send you your stuff Mike, but, I`ll get to it. Don`t worry. dudeist skydiver #42

  18. You too Swedish dude! And to the rest of you! However, my people celebrate Christmas two weeks later than the rest of you (7. January). We count time by the old Calendar. But we like to celebrate stuff and things so my holidays start this Monday and last to 11th of January. Happy everything! dudeist skydiver #42
  19. Those things are mild, brother. I think it`s more of a language barrier. I don`t know any names for hot food in english except: peppers, chilli and pepper, and your brands mean nothing to me... Example: I say peppers and mean this and for you it`s maybe this... In the end, my point is that i agree with OP. dudeist skydiver #42
  20. BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...... Sorry VB I don`t really think about VB like this, but anytime he mentions power plant, I imagine him looking like a real-life version of Homer Simpson. I guess it comes wit a territory. dudeist skydiver #42
  21. Naah, we have maintenance in our building. At least I think so... But yesterday, traffic in this city collapsed, half of our students did not came to the classes, I waited for fckn bus 40mins. When half a meter of snow falls on 2 million people city... Our public services are always taken by surprise it`s snowing. No matter if it`s October or January. They are just lame and slacking. Just like VB. dudeist skydiver #42
  22. Yeah, American beers taste like water with aftertaste. At least the ones that are exported here. OTOH, some Russian beers are like someone put a shot of vodka in a beer can. Concrete. (* that`s probably the reason why there are so many videos of drunk Russians on the web) And good morning to you all!
