    The lego you

Alright, well that was fun. Alright, not me, but I had fun making it.
  5. I too am annoyed by cell phone users and whenever I go to dine out with someone, I usually request that they put it away because I do not think it is appropriate. I have never had anyone that minded. On the screaming child thing, I've been there with my own kids and I have removed the child from the place and taken action then returned once my son was normal again. When I went to see King Kong, there was some people who brough young kids. (After seeing the movie, I don't see who in their right mind would take their young child to see that in the first place.) While I enjoyed the movie, the experience was surely would have been different had their not been crying children in the theater (yes more than 1). So maybe they need to make cards to give to the crying child's parents, along with the cell phone abusers.
  6. They also have on the main page (www.msn.com) in the video highlights section a piece on the CRW world record.
  7. I quit on Valentines Day in 2005. Well, I am hitting a year here in a few weeks. I didn't use anything, went cold turkey. I had tried the patches, gum, lozenges; however, the patch quits working after a bit and the gum and lozenges tasted nasty. I got tired of smelling gross all the time and my kids were always telling me that I needed to quit (nothing like an 8 year old to tell you what to do). It's a tough battle, but if you stay with it, you'll be rewarded and feel great about it. Oh and one of the worst times for me is when I'm drinking. It really helps to have someone to keep you from smoking duirng that time!
  8. Well, you could fit more presents under the tree that way!
  9. Maybe someone knows... My sisters with their children (2) evacuated from Lake Charles last Thursday, while my mom stayed. My mom is fine without electric and has had water brought to her. My question is this though.... They have said a return date for there was October 3rd; that has now been changed and no new date has been given. My sisters are staying in a hotel in Northern MS. They don't have the money to pay for a hotel room indefinitely, as I payed their hotel room until Tuesday. Since I live in PA, it would be a 15 hour drive for them and they are not wanting to drive that. My question is if anyone knows about any assistance with paying for a place to stay while they can't go back home. I don't mind paying for their hotel room, but really think the money should be spent in other ways. Any other creative solutions would be welcomed.

    bat sex

"Female 1 mates with male 1, producing female 2. Later on, female 1 ditches male 1 and mates with male 2, producing female 3. Meanwhile, female 2 gets in on the action and also mates with male 2, producing female 3a." Hmmmm sounds like theres a lot of action going on!! Why couldn't I have been a bat!
  11. Nowadays, it takes more than that to fill your car!
  12. I keep this one as my background at work just to remind me how cute they are because they are usually running around screaming making me wonder if they are really as sweet as I thought!! (how's that for a run on sentence!!) Of course it is time to put two of their newer pictures together, but I'm a procrastinator. Edited because I'm an idiot and forgot to hit upload!!
  13. I got out in 1997! Sounds like that would be fun! That is if you don't mind women.

    being 30....

I turn 30 in October and I can only hope that I can take it as well as you have!
  15. It's kind of funny because while I don't mind working weekends, when I am asked, I actually schedule it around jumping. For example, if I had to work this weekend, I would offer to come in later Saturday afternoon or on Sunday afternoon. There is the always the occasional work all weekend thing, but it is seldom that this occurs. So yes, I do work weekends, but I am blessed to be flexible with my working weekend hours when needed.

  17. Just steal a house!!! Below is an article that was posted on another forum but I just had to share, since there are so many posts about what to do for skydiving money. LINDALE - Board by board, shingle by shingle, for nearly three months, they dismantled the three-bedroom brick house and carted it away until only a pile of rubble was left. Their only problem: they didn't own it. Authorities say two men jailed this week took the house apart and sold it for drugs, in plain view of everyone cruising by on Lindale's Main Street - U.S. Highway 69. "We drove by and watched the house come down," said Smith County Constable Dennis Taylor. "We wondered why it was taking so long, rather than just bulldoze it. It took about a month before the top even collapsed." Taylor said the men worked slowly and haphazardly in daylight, with no one questioning their work, because everyone assumed it was the work of Wal-Mart or Lowe's - the two large retail stores laying new foundations nearby. But the home actually belonged to Dallas-based St. Ives Realty. A company representative called Taylor on March 15 to report her house stolen. "I said, 'Is it a trailer house, ma'am?'" Taylor recalled. "She said, 'No, it's a brick house.' I said, 'What?'" Brandon Ray Parmer, 29, and Darrell Patrick Maxfield, 44, both of Tyler, were arrested Monday. Taylor said both men confessed to dismantling the home. Authorities also arrested Jesse Gino Vega on Tuesday after executing a search warrant at his home in the 14600 block of County Road 463 in Lindale. Vega, 36, is accused of giving cash and methamphetamine to the other two men in exchange for the materials from the home. Taylor said Vega refused to surrender to deputies for about an hour before finally emerging from his house Tuesday. All three suspects were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, a second-degree felony, and released from Smith County Jail after posting $10,000 bond. At Vega's residence, authorities recovered lumber worth about $25,000. They also found plumbing, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, fence materials, doors and windows. Officers got "about five trailer loads of property that came out of that house," Taylor said, then paused. "Well, it didn't come out of the house. It was the house." Taylor estimated about 90 percent of the house was found at Vega's residence. The brick and shingles are still unaccounted for. Taylor worked in conjunction with Constable Dale Geddie and deputy constables Cliff Robison, Tommy Goodman and Mark Waters. They are still working on tips, and believe at least three other people are involved in stealing the house. "It's the strangest case I've ever worked in my life," Taylor said. "Everybody drove by and waved at them, said, 'Great to see you getting that house off - we're fixing to get Lowe's and Wal-Mart in here.'"
  18. Yeah we get all kinds of spam, but it's usually buy this or check this out! First time I have seen someone send this through the fax. haha.. I'll have to try to fax back to them!
  19. So I come into work this morning and proceed to check the fax machine for faxes. I was actually laughing when I saw this, because of the email spam that goes around. I can't believe they have resorted to using fax machines now as well!!!
  20. When someone asks me why I skydive, it's not like I can come up with a direct reason other than I have an absolute love it and that they will never understand that unless they do it themselves. The next question I usually ask is "When do you want to go try it?" Of course to date, I have found a few people who said they would try it, but none who have taken me up on the offer (a couple of times I have offered to even pay!).
  21. I can't agree with you more about the exercise! I gained weight as well, but mine is still coming off. However, I can now say that I can run 4 miles in 43 minutes!!
  22. Congratulations on your decision!! Today marks my 5 months without smoking!! I think quitting smoking has been the most difficult thing I have ever done, but I'm very glad I did (and I am looking forward to the future as a non-smoker!)
  23. Yes, I have found that skydiving is a great tension reliever. After a day of jumping (even if it is just one jump), I go home and nothing really bothers me. However, just the opposite is true too. If I go a long time without jumping, I get a little cranky like I haven't had my morning coffee in a week or something!
  24. I have vonage as well and to date have had no problems with it. I use my vonage with cable though, instead of DSL. Maybe make a poll for who has problems with Vonage using DSL? Just a suggestion.
