So Glen and Ira from SoCal... anybody else from the SoCal area? I've heard there's actually more than 2 WS jumpers in SoCal, but haven't seen more than that in any visits or at any events. I've been using them all along and love them. They are more complicated to rig than metal links though, and you have to be confident in your ability to rig them correctly every time. I had a similar tiny hole in the topskin of an arm wing. Best solution I found was silicon seam sealer from the fabric store. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

54, I'll have to get back to you on that; so far don't know. What I do know is many people demo'ed the PF flocking prototype and it's amazing. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Scott Bland just took up a small group and got a perfect 9-way diamond, perfect picture. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Wings wrapping around reserve - possible or not?
tr027 replied to mccordia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I had a cutaway last month, Vampire with a Wings container, the wings were unzipped but not cutaway prior to the chop (without RSL), and everything worked perfectly (1 or 2 sec delay). With any decent spring tension I can't imagine how the wings would stop the reserve PC. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. Sorry I can't make it this weekend, but I will be in Cali this summer. . "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Been shopping around for a rental car and the rates are ridiculously preposterous, so will probably take a cab or call the DZ. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957 -

Fantastic! I liked the Bridge Day part and the tower scene right after it. -
Boris, By any chance will we see you at F & D in Florida? You sound like a fun guy to fly with, and you might enjoy the planes we have out here. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Yes, we'll all know considerably more about that suit after Z-Flock 3. I'm just amazed it's possible to make a suit that flocks better than a Phantom. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Here in the PNW the rain marathon continues, and so far doesn't look like we'll have much weather luck this weekend. Good thing I've got Thursday and Friday to warm up prior to the event. Do you jump with hard riser inserts for the excess cutaway cable?
tr027 replied to Chris-Ottawa's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have no idea what you mean about the excess cable, but I like them cause I fly a sporty canopy. "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957 -
I'll be arriving around that time and also VeggieReggie, so that's two more we can add to the list if there will be one. Or just split a cab? "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957

Background checks, background checks, background checks, please!
tr027 replied to MyTwoCents's topic in Archive
Pardon my candor, but how about: 4. You put aside the automatic ingrained assumption (you do know the old saying about what happens when you assume right, cause its applicable here) that new guys are the enemy, reckless, and have no clue. You instead check them out with a mind open to the remotest, minutest possibility that they just might not be reckless, and just might have a good idea of what they're doing, AND might not be on a personal object-burning Jihad against you. In short, verify that this serious problem exists first, instead of assuming it. Then, if there is a problem you can always tell them this: “Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh. Excitement. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless.” -Yoda "The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it. " -John Galt from Atlas Shrugged, 1957
