Jeeze, give her a break, Mr. BASE Hottie! This is Marion you're talking to. You're just jealous that you didn't have YOUR own press corps (not!) I'm still working on your e-mail
-
Thanks . PM me a private e-mail addy, and we'll send you some "goodies" (they're really good .) Was great to see you as well - I'm glad you had a good weekend. What a coincidence that we ended up parking one space away from you! Best, D1
-
Michelle - that SOOO sucks - I hate it!! Please get better soon. (Although if it's true that you broke just your fibula, I'm really impressed ... it's difficult + rare to break that bone on its own; quite a feat.) Hopefully you'll still be hanging out so we won't miss you TOO much ... Marion, count on 2 more for Eric's bday and please let me know if you need help with anything (PM sent also.) And good luck with your midterm . Glad you guys were able to keep CSS going while some of us were at BD, and I hope most of you got to meet Billy (owner of Downwind, Windline and Freak'n) while he was hangin up here. Very sorry I missed you, D2. Much love to you. Best, D1

You're just jealous. Ever swam a class V-plus rapid, like I did? Nope, didn't think so. You might want to try it sometime - lots more exciting + danagerous than just staying in the raft. And shut up about my jeans. We both know they got ruined as I slid down the mountain, trying to find the supports of "the bridge." D1

I hear Jason got three - YEAH! Couldn't believe all the whuffos who wanted to take pics of your ass . That EMT lady must need new glasses .... Rafting the lower New River absolutely rocked. Can you say "Class V?" So did I, although I totally ruined my jeans. That gorge was lots steeper than I thought! Think this qualifies us for a "U"? MUCH thanks to Greg, Nick, Jeff, Szabi, Cupcake, Jay, Jason, and that big guy whose name I can never remember (Clayton?) I had a blast. All y'all need to plan on coming next year, it's amazing sick fun. Best, Dawn 1

Cynthia, don't worry. This was supposed to be a big secret, but ... (just for you) The owner of Roma's (my good friend Said) is trying to hire all of the El Perico staff over to his place to start a combo Italian/Mexican restaurant, complete with full bar, margaritas, excellent wait staff, (and Lambrusco, just for Guido.) Of course this IS Louisburg so we'll see what happens ... At worst, we'll have a new Taco Bell. I'm sure they'll have yummy late-night food, but in my opinion they won't really fit into the whole F.U.C.K. scenario. Small, cramped, dirty, well-lit, etc. Speaking of which - WHO told you about my "K"??? (Yeah David, I'm looking at you.) For the record, I have F, C and K. The F remains controversial. Everyone still seems up in the air about the U definition ... I might have to decide it myself (hear that, Marion & Eric? We've GOT to come to a consensus; maybe at Bridge day - sound good?) Cynthia - we miss you; please come see us in Nov. If you're here for Thanksgiving, you may get to hear the new .... and the Red Rockets! Best, Dawn

OK, but ONLY if you'll let us pay you THAT NIGHT, dammit !!! (Right, Marion?) My Tuesdays are almost always open; keep us posted. I would really be there again, I promise. Take care, sweetie. Love, D
-
Sorry I missed you guys - I'm sure you had a great show. Guido and I were NOT happy that we weren't there! But ... we had other stuff to do ... Joe - take care + be well. Sending much love out to you, D
-
Duly noted, and respected, although the thought never once crossed my mind . So ... does there happen to be any sort of public fountain nearby? Ooooh oooh, me too! Did you ever get a BP&RR shirt? How about you, Casey? If so, let's get together and creatively deface/redesign them with fabric paint to reflect the current band lineup. Right now we're very busy in the loft; still not sure if I can make it. The weather is looking like crap for the next few days though. Makes me really bummed for the people who can't jump, but does increase my chances of getting to CH ... -D1

(responding to Caseflyer and jkwon) - I'd LOVE to be there Fri night ... more than I can say. Those that know me, know how much (BP?) and RR mean to me, and know how much this show will mean to me ... SO - can someone put me up for the night in CH or Durham? I'll need to crash for awhile, then need to be back at the DZ early Sat morning, rigging for the CRW dogs. I won't take up much room, and will bring my own pillow + all necessary toiletries. If you can help me out, let me know. PM me or call me on my cell. If not, I guess I'll see you at the next (no Big Pretty) ... and the Red Rockets show. And, of course, I'll see you all Sat night for the Sparky and Kat sendoff. (Casey: I'll bring olive/cheese puffs, chipped beef/cream cheese/pickle rollups, and alcohol. Love you, Tess.) Best, D1

Bridge Day I'm going to Bridge Day to pack
-
Will be great to see you, man. Sorry to report that my Grey Goose is long gone. I do have a nice 20 yr old Scotch, though
-
Hey smart Marine - You should've come out Friday. When will we see you again? I still have your shirt, and I miss your pretty green eyes . I hope the tunnel trip was a big success. We managed to have fun here, and thanks to you guys (and Emily,) I believe freeflyers outnumbered belly flyers AGAIN. Joe's band had a really fun show at great venue in Chapel Hill Sat. night. Although it was a confusing venue ... we could hear the band, then eventually we could see the band on a 2nd story balcony, but it took us a good 10 minutes of alleys, elevators and stairs to find the band. We weren't the only ones - there was a pack of confused BP&RR fans wandering around, but then Guido demonstrated his fine navigation skills and led us to the club (thanks, man.) And Nick actually came with us to Chapel Hill - that might be a first. Best, D1
-
Joe + David - Dinner was wonderful
-
Case - Yes I DO know what you're talking about. And you're right - this sucks . All I can think of is this: We'll have to form some kind of BP&RR tribute/cover band. With all girls of course

Unofficial September 11th Memorial @ CSS
hajnalka replied to valcore's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I'm very proud of you, Darin! It was a great event and an awesome, moving tribute. Well done! I look forward to the pics. Huge thanks to Floaty, who helped me with the ceremonial bag at the last minute. (Your seams were awesome, man!) Thanks also to Guido, for buying the flowers -
I guess I did ... ... Damn it!!! (Hey - how'd Nick ever get into that picture? He rather ruins the effect, in my opinion.) Marion - maybe we should invite David to our next girls night. Think about it. -Dawn
-
- Bolding mine - Eric, was that a hint? I'll see what I can do, but that's a bad timeframe for me ... would need to leave here by at least 4 pm, and brave the worst of Triangle traffic. Sorry, man - but SOME of us need to keep CSS operating! Marion - ditto. Busy week in the loft, what with Lyman being gone so much in Sept. (Hopefully I'll taste your excellent chicken someday

I definitely need a Big Pretty fix ... A bunch of us should be there Thursday. I personally plan to drag Tony, Corey, possibly Kelly, and/or everyone else hanging out at the DZ at 9 p.m. over there with me in my truck. Everyone reading this should show up! Feel free to call or PM me for questions/directions/a ride/etc. Best, D1 "Don't trust nobody but your mama. And even then, look at her real good." -Bo Diddley
-
Joe - dude -- You NEED to come out here and get a much-needed attitude adjustment
-
Yeah, we paid a lot of $ for bad service, watered-down drinks (thanks to Guido for fixing that!) and my tough prime rib ... It was GREAT to see you again, though. Wasn't the video awesome?? - Eric and Mike really went overboard ... i know them both well, and was not prepared to be impressed ... but that video left me speechless. Glad you had fun - come see us again soon, girl! Best, Dawn
-
MAN I soooo would love to be there ... but unfortunately my truck's in the shop! Anyone going from the DZ area who could give me a ride? Please please? Let me know - thanks. -D

2 nights in a row here; Chiles Rellenos and Veg #16. Maybe we could turn this into a "What did you have at El Perico last night?" thread? It was way too cool for me to see all of those freeflyers at CSS - what FUN! I'm glad you guys had a good weekend ... especially glad that Joey's back held out. . Was wonderful to see some old FF faces from the past - welcome back! Great vibe this weekend - thanks, everyone. Come hang out with us again, please. Best, Dawn
-
Eric - Floaty showed me the vid today -- GREAT JOB!! I love the music, especially. VERY nice indeed! **** NEWSFLASH **** Lyman and Randy H. took up an IAF student today, for a 2-jumpsmaster level 6 ... ... and the student didn't try to kill John. I couldn't believe it. For anyone who hasn't been around, John + Peter B have had a couple of dicey level 6's where the student really seemed intent on killing everyone around. I have video in the loft if you're interested. Best, Dawn p.s. Miss you, BB. Love you, Elis, Marion and Joe.

CONGRATULATIONS, Tiger! I'm SOOO proud!!!
