I'll call bullshit on that. Government intervention gave us the current economic condition. Look at all the non-market or anti-market actors involved in getting us here. . I call BS on THAT. Unregulated derivatives markets gave us the current economic condition. The govt. forced no company to leverage itself they way AIG and the investment banks did. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

Your record in predicting economic outcomes is not very good. Remember the "R" word. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical. -
Chemotherapy doesn't cure all cancers - using your logic chemotherapy is useless. A reserve parachute doesn't prevent all skydiving fatalities. Using your logic reserves are useless. Seat belts don't prevent all highway fatalities. Using your logic seat belts are useless. I VERY STRONGLY suspect that if laws against drunk driving were repealed, the number of deaths caused by drunk driving would skyrocket. Your fallacy this time is to suggest that because a remedy isn't perfect, it has no beneficial effect at all. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

Providing a link to someone saying that no one should own a firearm ought to be sufficient, actually. But the OP specifically referred to himself. How do we know (other than his own unverified claims) that he is not a felon or mentally unstable? OMG.... look out.. there is an evil black gun hiding in the bushes behind you just waiting to ambush you. Do YOU think felons and nutters should have guns? I certainly dont think people who are scared shitless of them and scared of the people who do own them......should own them... or be allowed to make policy regarding them. In your mind I am sure you think anyone who does own them is a nutter and probably a criminal Not at all. I think any adult who is not a convicted felon and who is not demonstrably mentally unstable should be allowed to own any gun they like. I don't think I have ever posted anything to the contrary. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

The job market for new grads sucks all around, but with over 2 million new unemployed over the past few months, what do you expect? And you can't blame Obama for the state of the economy - he INHERITED the mess. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical. -
And which premise was that? www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3538344#3538344 I am duly noting that you are not to be taken seriously. I'll just add you to the list here. If you can't keep track of the thread, just say so and stop playing games. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

In the context you provide here I really wonder if YOU should be allowed to own a gun. Would that be a PA? If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

And IIRC, the "shovel ready" projects were for infrastructure repair by the states. I saw a bunch of stuff going on during a recent drive to Florida. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical. -
Your conclusion is as ridiculous as it is outrageous. . Yes, it was meant to be. The conclusion was ridiculous because 337's premise from which the conclusion followed was ridiculous. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

The SAD thing is that so many are totally ignorant of the size of US oil reserves compared with the US demand for oil. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

I used to defend criminals. Before I became a lawyer I worked for two years as an intern in a Public Defender's office in a very tough town, the one where four cops were recently killed by one parolee. In my opinion NO laws, licensing, restrictions etc will keep criminals from getting guns. You might make guns harder to get, but they will get them, just like they get illegal drugs. You can affect price but you will never extinguish the supply through laws. I never met one felon who cared a bit about gun laws. If they wanted a gun they got a gun, one way or another. Just being a felon in possession of a firearm was enough to put them in prison for a long time, but they all thought they'd never get caught. If criminals can't buy guns they will steal them. Making it harder for them to get guns is laudable, but often misguided. Too many of those laws impose burdens on law abiding gun owners that are not offset by any significant workable deterrent aginst criminals acquiring firearms. Just to show you an extreme, I once represented a convict who managed to obtain a pistol and ammo INSIDE Folsom Prison. I hope that makes the point. 377 The exact same argument could be made about ANY law (that criminals don't care about them and will find a way to break them). I can only suppose that you oppose all laws. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

Because EVERYONE knows that tons and tons of concrete, asphault, etc etc instantly drops to the ambient air temperature once the sun sets... It appears you now admit that made made sources (concrete, asphalt...) are causing global heating. Anyone with a brain knows that pumping 30 billion additional tons of CO2 into the air every year will raise the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere - and it has. As Bill said, run the numbers and the annual change in atmospheric CO2 is a match for the amount we spew into the atmosphere. And this has *what*, exactly, to do with my post? If you want to rah-rah Billvon, use one of his posts to answer. When did you become a greenie? How come your name doesn't appear in green? If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

Former Mental Patient Kills Son/Self at Gun Range
jerryzflies replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in Speakers Corner
It was a rental gun. Lots of ranges rent guns without background checks, because they are in the supposedly controlled conditions of the range. In this case, it looks to me like the range operators are at fault. Sorry, the mother's at fault not the gun range. Renting guns to nutcases is OK then? How about felons? Ah, I just knew you'd be in with your usual strawman... why don't you show us what laws concern gun ranges and rental guns? I didn't ask if it was legal, I asked if it was OK. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical. -
I can only assume you didn't bother to read the article. Forced standing on one leg (he only had one leg) with his arms shackled above his head for TWO WEEKS is TORTURE in anyone's book except yours. Calling it "enhanced interrogation" is absurd. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

Wrong place at the wrong time? Just sittin' on the porch minding their business? Totally inncocent delicate little flowers that would never heart anyone, not even an american capitalist pig? We can take it, then, that you subscribe to the "GUILTY until proven innocent" and "Sentence first, trial later" theories of justice. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

Maybe you would provide links to all posts where I or anyone else suggested arresting everyone who disagrees with us, putting gun owners in concentration camps, or repealing the 2nd Amendment. All of these straw men have been used by your side in this discussion. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
