Ya think! With three kids, money is hard to come by, time is even harder. My mother-in-law lives with me and it ain't any easier. Still it can be done. Skydiving is what keeps me semi-sane.
-
Let me know the dates and I will try to make it.
-
Wow, that picture brings back memories. My dad (Bobby Brown) still has it hanging on the wall at his house. He is the one in the middle of the door looking to the tail. I will have to ask him if he can remember the rest of the names.

Missed ya!!You surprised me, you were too nice of a guy to be the same Billy that posted all that weird stuff. Look forward to seeing more of the weird stuff.

Deaf World Record and Casa boogie at Lake Wales, FL
Clite replied to BillyVance's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Wasn't meaning to be offensive, just a little humor. I am deaf myself and actually rely on video monitors throughout Skydive Dallas and people on my load who know me to help me keep up with the manifest when I jump there. At smaller DZ it is easier to have people who know you keep you updated. -

Hopefully the plane will not take off mostly empty. -
Whooohoo! Now you know hockey is back. Just hang on for the ride cause high scoring rollar costers are probley gonna happen more often with these new rules. Go Stars!
-
Can't wait to see the Stars play again. I could care less who wins at this point, I am just glad to see the game is back.
-
Yeah. Shame. I didn't know about this either. Getting it done pronto. Thanks mdrejhon. Is there anything else I need to know? See you all soon.

Jim Beam and Dr. Pepper. My two buddies to help me through the weekend since I am saving my money to get to the DWR(Deaf World Record) in two weeks. Shiner is next.

I have never been to the WFFC so take my suggustion with a grain of salt. How about moving the convention around? Have it hosted in different areas of the country to allow new people a chance to see the WFFC without major travel expenses and those who are willing to travel have a chance to see another part of the country. Surely there are other places in the country willing to host a major freefall convention that is not a dropzone. This could help ensure a new customer base every year.

It has been awhile since the last post and DWR is only a couple months away. Any updates to the list attendees or DWR?

I can understand letting go of the big tough guys who play a physical game. Since the new rules favor the fast puck handler and goal scoring machines. I too have mixed feelings about the upcoming season and hate seeing teams I grew to like changing so drastically. I am willing to bet alot of these player may actually resign with the same teams for lesser money once they realize noone can afford them. Bring on the mayhem, its a hellofalot better then nothing.

Glad to see there are other skydivers reading the book. I can't even get my wife or three kids to read the books. There have been some excellent speculations brought up. I will have to reread the book again to gain further insights. I too feel Dumbledore is going to have some impact upon Harry Potter and Voledemort even in death, most likely just because he left valuble information behind for Harry, maybe at his Aunt's house. Draco is going to have some deep thoughts if he realizes the Dark Lord does not really care about him or his family, I agree that he will still be evil just because it is in his upbring from his father.

I thought you had to murder someone, not just do it in self defense. Am I wrong? I think some one like Dumbledore would have a plan up his sleeve for taking care of Potter. He had to know Potter would be on his own someday.

Hell Yeah! I do that at least once every year two days in a row. By the time I am done I can't drink another beer for a week. I definatly recommend trying that. As far as actual sports goes I like inline/ice hockey and skating. Oh yeah and Hacky that's a sport right?

I would love to be at Skyfest and a part of the second gen. jump. I vaugely remember you and definately remember your mom and dad from seagoville and on. Pick your excuse (I won't say anything except it has to do with my wife), I may not make it.

I grew up watching my dad jump at the DZ nearly every weekend and seeing all the fun he had. I knew I would be jumping someday. On my first jump (AFF level 1) I was very nervous, until I looked over and saw my Dad smiling. I knew everything would be alright. Passed my first jump with my dad as one of the jumpmaster. Haven't been able to shake the desire yet.

Did a search for Deaf skydivers when I got back into the sport. Found a good source on the fourm and been lurking since.

Europe!?!. I better get started begging and groveling with my wife. You know what it took to convince my wife to OK going to Florida without a divorce? -
That ther is funny I don't care where you are that's funny. I speak two also. But I have been told my sign lanuage sucks no matter how inebriated I am. I also took two years of Spanish and was told by my spanish teacher she would pass me for the second year if I promised to never take spanish lessons again! So all I remember is No hablos espanol. (I don't speak spanish).
