Generally the lines go in facing the bottom of the container (BOC flap). Some birdman pack with the lines to the back of the container. Some Voodoo owners pack with the lines to the top, below the reserve container due to its very small bottom flap.

Do a bridge, antenna and a cliff and you can get your BASE number

You forgot to mentioned Australia's longest swoop pond too.

You ordered a naked skydiving instructor?

Did I hear someone say FIRST???
-
Because it is at a higher latitude and the curvature of the earth affects the way the FF's fall I'll be interested to hear what the real answer is. Is this at most DZ's in England?

Do you tell your employer that you do skydiving?
Travman replied to bastichu's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A friend of mine (whuffo) recently went for a job in defence. He said the first thing they were told, was anyone with motorbike licence or who skydives leave now, because you are too high risk. "It would be like hiring a 99 yr old" I find this very offensive personally, as a skydiver and a motorcyclist. -
I have a Voodoo with a Sabre 170. I find it great, very comfy etc. Not much to compare to, often get people complimenting me on it though.

They are reliable, but it could happen, so don't rely on it to fire.

Travman replied to dropzone_moron's topic in Gear and Rigging
glue tampons to your head, offers impact protection and looks like you got a nice set of dreads Well absorb the blood well if you have an accident to -
I contacted a local air brusher to do mine. It turns out one of their close friends in dating the daughter of a skydiver I know, small world.

You're right, it is a bag lock that stands you up. My mistake.

The Australian Parachute Federation strongly suggests the standard procedure for a PC in Tow is to follow normal EP's and cutaway first. Their reason is when the reserve comes off your back it can disturb the main d-bag (as has been mentioned) and cause it to deploy causing a two out. The other problem with a PC in tow I have been told is you actually speed up because the drag from the PC puts you feet to earth.

My Voodoo, Sabre 170, Pd 160 and CYPRES 2 = 11Kg from memory

Some DZ's have restrictions on who can use full faced helmets so check with your instructors. My DZ you need 100 jumps to wear a full face. The reasons have been discussed on other threads.
-
I know people who do go jumping after a night shift. I couldn't do it personally, but some can.
-
I did a couple of AFF with Phil. He still logs every jump.

hip & chest articulation on a container, why ????????????
Travman replied to kleggo's topic in Gear and Rigging
The Vector 3 harnesses from Relative Workshop are only has an option for hip rings, no chest rings. I don't know how this affects their fit compared with other harnesses. -
Just curious if anyone with a skyhook as lowered their minimum cutaway height.

ARE CYPRES AND AAD'S COMPULSORY
Travman replied to clintonradloff's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I see your an Aussie. You should be receiving the most recent copy of the APF Op Regs soon, but here are the items about the use of AADs. Some DZ's have more strict policies on the use of AADs and RSLs, check with your local Chief Instructor. -
Its been done. Search skydivingmovies.com for mrbill.

Thanks. I am looking to get over to Perth for a week or so in February or March, might be able to do a jump with you!

Nah, at this rate I am not sure if I can jump at the xmas boogie, injured my neck on the last jump of the 3-way comp.

Been discussed in the Wingsuit forums, Jeb Corliss himself (the man who is saying he can do it) posted saying the project costs have blown out and it is on hold for the time being.
