  2. Thanks, I'v e been looking at the website. I was going to take a drive this weekend to check it out. I was looking at the AFP program. I take it that you had a good experience...
  3. Hello: having completed my first tandem i am trying to decide which method to become licensed. (forgive all spelling ) I have been reading about the NO's envolved in low turns and am wondering on how to avoid. I also do not understand the box pattern and do not know how one would locate the DZ from so high up. I have also been reading about flat turns and wonder if someone could explain how this will avoid a low turn? I loved the sensation of flying and being above the clouds and want to make sure i don't do something stupid to turn me off.
  4. I'm hoping soon possibly by mid dec. Just finished a crazy vacation in Florida need to relent and pay the bills. I figure by mid dec early jan I should be able to stockpile the cash to go full throttle. I'm a little concerned with the weather where i am it is about 50 degrees now and will be about 40 or lower in mid dec. when i jumped in Florida it was 80 but at the exit point it was about 50, i did not use a flight suit or helmet. I was trying to figure out how to keep warm at altitude so i can enjoy the ride. If I would have known how awesome this sport is I would have been good on vacation.
  5. hey: I felt the same as you. First tandem last week and now I can't stop thinking about the next jump. I am also looking to do the tandem progression. How has your experience been with learning through the tandem prgression? I think it is the safest way to get used to controlling the canopy.
  6. Hello everyone: I just experienced my first tandem with 4 friends last week in Clewiston Florida. I cant believe the feeling and the joy of flying without an airplane. I am looking forward to working to get an A license in Long Island New York. Any recomendations as to how to go about completing the license would be helpful. I have been thinking about AFB with the first 3 jumps being tandem, so i can get used to the controls. Looking forward to solo freefall, Jay email: bottledtime@gmail.com
