  1. There is also the neos on the market. Only the middle cells are crossbraced. I even know people who do wingsuits with a Velocity competition without a problem
  2. Remember the unofficial distance record in Lilo 2008,.. this was done by Bruno Brokken,... with an old standard Velocity
  3. - Velocity (PD) - V-MAX (parachute systems) - XF15 (jojowings) I thinks these canopies have about the same front riser pressure
  4. in reply: In your example, unless the same person packed the canpoy for all the jumps, and the deployments were all at the same airspeed, the conclusion is far from scientific. I packed the canopy myself, even when my friend jumped it... yeha, 30 packjobs for a few beers :)
  5. I friend of mine did +/-30 jumps with my Velo 90. I myself fly it at a wingload 2.48 - 2.5. He is on a wingload of 2.0 under that canopy. When we compared the openingsequence it was obvious that the canopy hunts much more when he jumped it. The snivel takes much more time and it took also a lot more time for the slider to come down. Cya, Lucke
  6. My Velo 90 (not the competition) with HMA 500 and wingload 2.48 opens the same like the competition Velo from Ian. I must say that I take special care of the position of the slider during packing. My previous one, also a 90ft² (same wingload but with a 750 lineset) had slower openings. The slider always got stuck at the cascade and I had to pull it down with the backrisers. Regards, Lucke
  7. I use the technique explained on the PD webside. http://www.performancedesigns.com/hotnews/RDS/rds.htm Cheers
  8. Like I heard from PD, the slider system will be available on the standard Velocity soon. (No RDS).
  9. For me there are only two options when you are a swooper. - Argus - Cypres speed I myself use the Argus and I'm very happy with it. Had a Vigil 2 before but I changed it for swoop reasons
  10. I was flying the same patern as Jay, made the same moves, did the same turn at the same altitude with the same canopy. Still came out to high.... forgot the wingload,...yeah, Jay is more fat then me
  11. The slider from scott is for the standard VE. It's indeed true that the RDS system on a VE Competition is slightly different. Lucke
  12. This is the old principle from PD. http://www.performancedesigns.com/hotnews/RDS/rds.htm Here is the link to the new system witch is made by scott for PD. I use this system and it's great! http://www.peaengineering.com/RDS.htm And last but not least, my old system: http://www.lookma.de/Starting_Page/Products/RDS_Slider/rds_slider.html
  13. What about the the dive, the recovery-arc and the swoop compaired to a Velo? I saw a few guys on the EST in Lilo swooping the hell out of those XF15's.
  14. I thought that it was Ouragan suits. Great customer service http://www.ouragansuits.com/pants.html
  15. Congrets Tom!! I know you will do fine,...that means,...if you that freestyle move from Teuge(Buslloo) last year behind
  16. I have about 400 jumps with a Demon. First 100 on a standard, next 200 on the competition and the last 100 on a Demon competition 90ft². No problems with openings, line-twist or what ever! I even have one of the landings of that Chilli on video. What I already heard about the openings, ..sensitive on bodyposition but soft. Dives a little bit more then the standard demon. For the rest, I will check what lineset is on it (I now they have the same colour as vectran) and maybe I will do a few jumps with it myself......that is,... if I can leave my Velocity behind ;o)
  17. This canopy, the chilli, should be the replacement of the demon. We have somebody at our dz who is flying a 120. It's for sure not a all-round canopy.
  18. It was a difficult competition due to the winds but we managed to finish 6 rounds. Here are the results: Congrets to Göran, Erwin and Mike!!!! But I also want to thanks every participator for joining in in this and for the great spirit in the group.

  22. Bruno Brokken did 155,52 m this year in Lillo Spain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7aJjWJeZ-M Afterwards they said it was not official because there were not enough FAI judges. L.
