  1. I started with a Talon rig with a Tempo 150 reserve and a Falcon 195 main canopy. This main canopy had several hundred jumps (+/-800)but it was still flying very fine. Great bottom end flair and also very responsive on toggle turns for a canopy in that size. also the openings were very nice. the reserve was 12 years old but never used. It was the perfect canopy to start and certainly for the money I paid for it. Afterwards I sold the complete set and the person who bought it is still flying it and it is still a great canopy. (better then the PD 190) I loaded that canopy at 1.02 (198 lbs) If you want to know how to load that canopy, take a look at this site: http://parachuteshop.com/falcon_main_canopy.htm Hope this helps.
  2. These are the colours of my new canopy. I think they look hot and fast
  3. Hé matt91078, You've stolen my icon
  4. These were the colours of my first Sabre 150. I still like them do
  5. In replay to SkymonkeyOne: I have owned (75,79, and now 84). Are you becoming heavier; eating to much
  6. I can ony tell my experience: Jumped a Sabre 150 and 135. In the same weather conditions the frontriser pressure on the 135 was much lighter then on the 150. Afterwards I started jumping with a Demon 120, 110 and 100 from Performance variable. With this canopy the frontriser pressure on the 120 was also much higher. The difference between the 110 and the 100 wasn't that big but is was anyway lighter then on the 120. I hope that this information was useful for you. Cya
  7. I have my Mirage now for 2 years, it's great, it fits perfect. No complaints at all!!
  8. I was thinking the same when I started skydiving. Now I have a Demon 100 loaded at 2.07. By the way a Yamaha R6 is faster on the tracks than the R1 Just wanted to say that you can change your mind faster then you think. Once you get the virus it's too late
  9. I have a canopy from Performance Variable. It' a demon and it has a design on the top skin and on the bottom skin. I also know the PD is also doing this on request but it will cost around 500 $ extra. I saw it once on their old website but it's not there anymore. I believe that they used F111 fabric for this. I'm not sure if they will do this for canopies other then PD do.
  10. I think it's common knowledge that you don't go terminal on a first jump on any canopy. This for several reasons: - Linestrech - stretching the softlinks - etc... So I don't see any problem with this.
  11. Can't really tell because I never jumped a Pilot. But I can tell you that the glide angle of the Sabre2 is noticeably flatter than the angle of the old Sabre. I even used it to do a little bit CRW with a friend who is using a Stiletto 120. With my old Sabre 135 I had difficulties to keep the same level because that canopy dropped to much. But with the Sabre2 135 it wasn't a problem at all
  12. I jumped with the Sabre 1 150 ft², Sabre 1 135 ft² and Sabre 2 135 ft². The openings on the Sabre 1 are not bad at all but the Sabre 2 opens very nice and soft. The glide angle on the sabre 2 is a little bit flatter and the flare is also better on the Sabre 2. In my opinion the frontriser pressure on the Sabre 2 is a little bit heavier but the Sabre 2 is more responsive on this. I'm sure that the sabre 2 is better for swoops because it keeps his dive longer than the Sabre 1 I jumped the Sabre 1 and the Sabre 2 with a wingload from 1.47
  13. Suunto X-lander. And I like it!! Compared it with the Neptune from a friend of mine and they measure the same. Same accuracy. Never had problems with zero'ing the thing. And if you have to do this it's a very simple procedure
  14. I have to agree with Roq. The Demon is flying very good with a wingload as from 2.0. Below that it feels a little bit soft. Landings are great! By the way, thank you Roq for the advice on the Demon in the past!
  15. Brought mine back up to date Falcon 195 (1.01) PD Sabre 150 (1.32) PD Sabre 135 (1.47) ....(In the meanwhile tried several canopies) PV Demon 100 (2.0)
  16. You are living in France? If you send an e-mail to Performance Variable they will send you a demo Cayenne for free without commitment. The Sabre2 is a great canopy that's for sure! And I have to agree about the openings of the Cayenne, those from the Sabre2 are better. But the openings of my demon are better
  17. On the website from Performance Variable you can download the manual from the Cayenne but there is not that much information about the characteristics: http://www.myskyshop.com/catalog/information.php/info_id/5 From what I'm heard, you can compare the Cayenne with the Sabre2. I know a few people who are using the Cayenne and they are very satisfied. I jump a Demon from PV and this is a great canopy. The finishing and the performance are great. Certainly if you compare it to the price you have to pay for it.
  18. Is that Dirk alais Sjakie from our home DS EBZW in Belgium? Tell him that we miss him a lot on our 'black moutain'. Thanks!
  19. I 'm jumping a Sabre 135 loaded at 1.47 and on a good day I can make a swoop of 198 f doing a 180° So I think it would be cool to see other people swooping this type of canopies.
  20. I did several jumps with a Vegeance 120 loaded at 1.65 last weekend. Openings where great, on-heading and soft. But then of course I don't have hundred's of jumps on that canopy so I can't tell for sure.
  21. Teva sandals in the summer and Merril shoes in the winter. In reply to AggieDave:'Ah, I see you've never caught the front of your Tevas and had it dump you before.' --> Yes it happend with me two weekends ago for the first time. Didn't dumped me but damn,... I hurt my toe
  22. Indeed, now I saw them But that dog didn't seem that angry
  23. Ok, very nice movie. But where are those blond security girls..... and the dog of course
