Getting involved in a tandem emergency - would you?
soaringeagle replied to Peej's topic in Photography and Video
I've been shooting tandem video's for several years now and have seen some weird things happen, but nothing serious. If the TM is spinning I've gone in to help stop it. and have gotten thanks later. If it is really serious, I would definitely try to help if I can, but I do have a hard deck and a family to think about...that is also why I have an AAD -
I mainly lurk, but do post here and there... as for the beer..I think that would be perfect for the potluck Especially "CANADIAN"...but moosehead is exceptable

Hey Guys, better bring snow shovels when you come to STI this weekend...LOL (got my truck stuck on Sunday when I was dropping off some firewood) but i'm sure they will have the parking lot plowed for the opening day. Don't forget there is a potluck on Saturday, so even if we get weathered out we should have a good time

"I think I saw that clip. If his S/L instructor taught him to exit the plane like that (kneeling and rolling out sideway) he needs to have his ratings yanked" This jump sounds like one that happened at my DZ a 3-4 years ago. If it is...from what i was told of it (i was not there at the time), the student had a line-over malfunction and just panicked...he pulled his reserve after he heard our warning siren (we use it to notify the staff of an emergency) Just wanted to clarify... BTW did you like how the media looped the tape...the whole incident lasted about 10 seconds. their footage was about... what a minute or two
