  1. One of those rare occasions you wish it were pink.
  2. Chest strap: yes, always
  3. Wonder if I always do that. No "side gusts" or anything, though. Will try to bring toggles down in the middle next weekend. Thanks
  4. To clarify on the perspective thing, in the other shot, would you say my right hand is higher than my left hand?
  5. I was thinking since I am sideways from the photographer, the position of the hands is a matter of perspective. *goes to read tricks about evenning one's flare*
  6. Out of curiosity, what is the reason my canopy appears tilted to the right on the "flare.jpg" shot? Uneven flare, or harness shift, or...? Hands appear to be on the same level, and the landing was as gentle as it normally is. There was no wind at all. Did not notice anything unusual during the flare. The other file is of no relation. I just like this shot
  7. Beaten-around ZP (300-400 jumps) is easier to pack than you might think. I vote go used, go zp, go for a canopy that's maybe just back from its first reline if you're that concerned about packing. Good on $ and easier to resell. ...Solo from Aerodyne is effectively a Pilot with bits of F-111.
  8. When Life is a Miracle -- NSO/funny lyrics. Damn, what am I doing instead of work? It's 4:50 AM. I need coffee.
  9. They are in free access as far as I know. You've definitely probably never heard about the performers. Except maybe the No Smoking Orchestra. Disclaimer: don't sue me for ruined hearing, lost sleep, and any mental illnesses that may ensue. Songs are in descending order, I think most will like the first few and roll their eyes (at best) at the last few. Single Guy's Lament -- slow download, but worth it. A NSO composition from a movie I very much doubt made it to the USA. The Waterfall -- a very nice violin/banjo(?) composition. Makes a great ringtone. Who Killed the DJ. Just some wild banter. Rain -- soft-ish rock-ish ballad-ish Dragon Fire -- pop/cheesy. The guy who did this is a PhD in Math, or something to that effect. Not Quite Silence. Stripes. Wolves.
  10. What's the best closest dropzone to the city Bochum in Germany? Thanks. :)
  11. Tom Waits's best album is perhapsibly Rain Dogs. And here's an absolutely cute flash movie for the Cemetary Polka, a track from that album. http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/cemetery
  12. Sorry I forgot to update. The cert's off to heidihagen.
  13. The nice people at http://go-wear.com/ gave me a $5 gift cert. If anyone needs it (that is, if anyone plans to do some shopping at go-wear sometime soon), post here, or PM me, or just use good ol' telepathy, and I will transmit the gift code directly into your brain.
  14. a. Or Paul gets one, and Bob none.
  15. That's so great people I sold tickets to got to win.

    Human Clock

Wow, I can't believe it hasn't been posted here yet. Lo and behold: http://www.humanclock.com/clock.php Amusement is guaranteed. If you find or submit a skydiving-related picture, tell me :)
  17. But to think that of the two, it was Daedalus whose flight didn't culminate in a swarm of feathers and the resulting deadly plunge...
  18. Optima and Solo do not have logbook capabilities. Viso and Altitrack are not audibles. So it's down to Neptune and Pro Track. :)
  19. What, already? I mean, come on. I grew so accustomed to being worried about grue's rig, what with his mentioning it in every thread that had the most remote kind of connection with rigs, that it just doesn't seem right he should stop. Order a second one! Ok, ok, it's a moderately nice Infinity you got there :)
  20. Really? If so, here's the link. (Can be deleted easily if need be.) With that, a question. By what margin does Espen clear the ledge? What is the altitude he pulls at?
  21. Well, that's true..there's always an Alti-2 field service member nearby. I usually see him every time I look in the mirror
  22. Are you saying that in relation to Hornet, the PDR is 6 ft larger, whereas the Firelite is ~20 ft smaller? PDR seems to be quite a bit bigger bundle of fabric than the Hornet. I am rather hoping it's really ~190 in relation to the Hornet.
