    i am just wondering : let's say i use a song from a known band on a personal skydive video (not tandem ...) If i write the band an e:mail providing a link to my video (not public yet) and they say it's okay to use the song ... am I okay with the copyrights stuff ?     just experienced it few weeks ago, around my 450th ... it's gone now after i did some fun jumps alone in the sky with no other goals than enjoying the scenery and opening higher than usual .... AFF jumps are very demanding in term of goals and thoughts, we often forget the pleasure in those jumps. -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    this is probably the worst attitude i've ever seen from a newbie, not even near being current with 79 jumps in 5 years ... you say that we don't know you : you're right ... but your assumptions and words are just telling us that you're what we know : a very new beginner with strictly no experience at all. one thing i strongly hope is that the day you'll kill yourself (and it will happen as long as you stay bocked like that ...) you won't take someone else's life with you ... you're truly the poorest minded skydiver i've read here ...     first time i did it i found myself totally unstable, probably because of the lack of drag that usually helps you to fly. anyway for solo jumps get prepared for a good fun if you want to try one the best option would be to open higher than usual ... don't forget to tell it to others at the boarding in order to be in the good slot for the vertical and horizontal separation. have fun, stay safe ... -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    I have around 5 -6 heli jumps and 1 balloon ride. the heli jumps are cool but ... they are jumps I would say that the most ineteresting stuff with them is the altitude climbing when you're at the door (which is non-existent ) The balloon jump i did was totally awesome : 11000 feet right over our DZ wayyyy cool ! -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    I'm flying a 2 pieces since the beginning of the season. the jacket is done quite long with spandex (from waist to mid butt) and goes under my pants. No risk for it to get out from there. Wings are connected with a kind of RSL device to my rig hip rings. really fast and easy to disconnect ! cheers. -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    at 400+ jumps i have to say that i have a very different feeling than on my firsts ones. at first i was afraid of jumping out of the plane, now i must say that many other factors are going to stress me : who i am going to jump with, what is the plan for this jump, how many groups before and behind etc ... but at least i'm saying to myself that as long as i have a kind of fear in me : it's that i am normal and absolutely conscious of what i am going to do ! enjoy the thrill ! -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    here in Can we still use the good ol' seat belt method, and we have to get secured to take off ... as all our stock (cams, helmets ...) have to be. -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    at first i bought my FF2 just for fun video, didn't put a cutaway at that time then i had to add a ringsight and still camera so i added a cheap but effective one from Bonehead (i think ,,, not sure though) tested it on the ground worked fine ... and hell yes if i need to i will cut it the very same way that i will cut my main : even if my helmet is now representing a quite good amount of $$$ it certainly isn't enough for my life -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    just one question : (no Alexis, you can't answer this one !) does anyone here actually know the 2 instructors involved in the sit-flying tandem and their skydiving background before calling them with names like "vidiots" and so on ??? just curiosity .... and no i don't agree with what they did ... -------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution !

    while you could have fun on some jumps by trying yourself at FF alone, I think you should first learn a reasonably good general skill at RW, being able to track perfectly will help you to find people to jump with in FF later. get used with the "unstable" tricks (barrel roll, front flip, back flip etc ...) they will be of a great help later to recover from unstable sit-flying situations. and if you go for FF, remember that getting back on the belly will never be a good solution ... at least until the moment you'll have to track

    this could have been the "useful tip of the day" 2 years ago. but thanks anyway ! it's been now 2 years that i fly the cam + stills for paying customers. Probably because i got some very good advices by some "old dogs" willing to share their experience, just for the pleasure of it. They didn't forgot the fact that they can learn from beginners too. i'm out ... I just wish to you all a great season !
