What whuffo questions annoy you the most?
BDashe replied to Tuna-Salad's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My favorite whuffo experience was an aquaintence of mine back in college, knowing full well I am an active skydiver, bypassed the questions and began telling me how he skydives too. He informed me he 'uses the snowboard things in the air.' When asked, he informed me he had 26 skydives and has video from a bunch of em. After 5 minutes of intense searching he was only able to find his tandem video... So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983 -

That reminds me of when i farted in my office at my previous job about 2 years ago. 45 minutes prior I was in the meal room eating an omelet and bacon. Someone walked by my office door and announces "mmm, it smells like breakfast!" Also, while I was in 2nd or 3rd grade we were doing the presidential physical fitness tests. I was in the middle of 'sit ups in a minute' with my friend's twin sister holding my feet while I was laying on rubber mat. At the 30 second mark I released a large high velocity bomb with this poor girl's face less than two feet away. I got some serious reverberation off the rubber mat which echoed in the gym. Everyone laughed so hard we had to re-test later. So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I don't know why he would bring that up though...Doesn't make sense to me, seems he'd want to keep that on the DL. Man this show is awesome. HO-LEE SH*T!!! I was wondering that too!!! That is f*cking priceless!!!!!!! So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983

Wah wah waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh... First it is bush didnt react quick enough, then he did too much and went too far. At 9 AM with a plane crash in one of the worlds tallest buildings, i dont think anyone realized what was about to happen over the next decade. Bush did exactly what Obama is doing now, he took full advantage of public opinion and shoved as much as he could into the war to the point of no return, or at least extremely difficult return. He had like 90% approval ratings within the first few months after 9/11. fast forward to now, and a fickle america doesn't like wars over 6 months as we are the country of instant gratification. therefore, Bush has done everything wrong since reading a book to kids on 9/11 Obama, on the other hand, is using the sh*tty economy and negative feelings towards the war to shove as much liberal policy down our throats as possible. the economy would right itself eventually without 80% of what he is spending, he'll get most of the credit. It'll go bad again regardless of who is in office, it just happens. I think Obama is pulling a Bush and biting off more than he can chew, time will tell. Public opinion will turn on O for the same reason the war backfired on Bush- too much too fast. Moderation and balance is what the country needs, not all left or all right, politicians will never understand that and both sides will continue to blitz us every chance they get. EDIT: As I've said before, I hate all politicians equally, but a poltician with less power/authority over me the better. Also, this wasn't directed at Billv, you had a good line for me to segway into my point. So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983

Hopefully there arent any cliffs on it. edit: can you REALLY not see i am referring to individuals and not entire groups? Ninja, please! So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983 -

Edit #3: Since you can't keep track of your posts Jumpdude- Jumpdude: WOW! That's a nice way to refer to their customers.... BDashe: call em like I see em. I've seen walmart shoppers I thought were hicks, I've sat next to some fat f*cks on southwest, and DZ.commers that are f*ckin... I'll stop there for banning purposes only. I dont work for a DZ, skyride, dorkzone, walmart, or southwest, so who the hell cares? Edit: I'm saying the customer should beware when something is non-refundable and/or purchased through a third party. They should b*tch at the third party and not the end user, or suck it up and be responsible for their actions, ultimately working within the agreement they signed. Edit2: Yeah, tiger, I'm a bit fired up today -
Nothing substantive or relevant to further your petty personal propaganda, there is a difference. It wasn't a PA, it was a metaphor... and I also just used some alliteration for you. So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983

Nashville TV News story on Skyride

To further, from the BBB in the posted article: 'Kathleen Calligan with the Better Business Bureau said because these kinds of experiences are so contingent upon the weather and other factors, consumers should be careful. "These are high-risk purchases, with consumers shouldering the burden of that risk," Calligan said. "Anyone considering a gift of this nature should be very cautious before buying and understand that the elements may factor into the company's performance."' They neglect to mention the b*tch can come back anytime she wants when the sun is out. Look, SR has done some shady sh*t. That said, the DZs operate just like any other DZ. If they were to jump through clouds or in in heavy wind it would be 'look at that slyride DZ breaking BSRs!' if they dont for safety, you get this piece of sh*t article and you angry mob A-holes shout 'those dirty bastards are stealing again!' I have yet to go to a dz in nearly 5 years that gives a refund to anyone for weather conditions. The example they used in the article, the dumb b*tch went in november in TN, 'its only my birthday once!' Moron, it isn't a carnival ride. Come back again, or would you rather potentially die? I took my sister for her first tandem in december out here in cali and we were weathered out. My entire family made the 2 hour drive. Guess who b*tched and moaned? No one. If you had the first clue how hard it is to get my family anywhere near a DZ... Our schedules didnt match again til this past July, but we jumped together and it was f*ckin great. You people are so god damned bias you can't decipher between skyride, a dropzone, and the f*cking weather. "I fart in your general direction!" -Brett So there I was... You two are the militant lesbians of your beliefs. Not an insult to anyone... we all just know who you are, so before we read your post(s) we know a bunch of inconsequential prate is inbound. So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983

http://money.cnn.com/2009/10/16/news/economy/treasury_deficit/index.htm?postversion=2009101615 "Obama administration closes the books on fiscal 2009: Falling revenue plus soaring spending leads to a $1.42 trillion deficit." "Consequently, the annual deficit rose 212% to the record dollar amount of $1.42 trillion, from $455 billion a year earlier." Sucks. That's all I have to say about that. So there I was... Welcome back!! You must be down near the exit for 42? If so, they've been working on it all summer from at least Trenton (where I get on from 195) south, repaving and widening... Hope it's finished soon!! Classic. We have a running joke in my office about people from jersey, "Oh you're from New Jersey? What exit?" Thank you for validating it. So there I was... I used to do that too! except instead of a bungee cord i used my ninja turtle PJs with the velcro on cape. that cape totally worked. Thankfully a couch was about 8 or 9 feet below to arrest my descent. So there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983
