My first AFF jump: I had a head cold. When I landed, my right ear was plugged. It did not get any better that evening. I jumped the next day at around 10 am (right ear still plugged) On the way up, I felt fluid release out of my ear (down the back of my throat) at 7000 ft. After my second jump, my right ear was plugged again. On the way up for my third jump, I felt the fluid release again, this time at around 5000 ft. My slight problem I had might not be the same as what you have.
