  8. Cocheese.. I was there two years ago, had a great time! I would be very much interested in helping get this thing organized. I'll check with Pelzer this weekend to see if the caravan is staying through the winter. If so, it could possibly be available. I'll let you know.. Rob

  10. Hi Tony.. Welcome to Napoleon. I have been jumping there since 1997. It is a great place to learn to skydive. The people there are terrific, the instructors are very professional and the staff will make you feel right at home. Plus, we have just a super good time there. Do you plan on camping out? We have a camping area with showers. There is a grocery store across the street, a family style cafe within walking distance and a sports bar in the town of Napoleon. A lot of us get there on Friday night and stay through Sunday night. In fact, if you are attending the First Jump Course this coming Saturday, I will probably be teaching some of the general parts of the course. If you see a red Baretta parked next to a grey tent, stop by and say HI, otherwise, we will see you on Saturday. Rob
  11. Welcome to our skydiving family. I am also in Michigan and jump at Napoleon. Come spend the weekend some time and get to know some of us. I know everyone there really tries to make new folks feel welcome and there is usually always someone who will jump with you. Also, as was previously mentioned, spend some time socializing at the fire at the end of the day, it is a great time to get to know people. Have fun, be safe.. Rob

  19. I'm Rob Seaton , I live in Lapeer Michigan and I am the director of operations for a burger king franchise in the Flint area. So yes, you can work for burger king and afford to skydive, gotta sell a lot of hamburgers though....In my previous life I was a general manager for a fixed base operation at the Flint airport . Oh well, somebody has to feed you guys....so buy more food I want to go jump!!
  20. Lets see.. If it's 20 degrees on the ground, and you lose on the average of 3 degrees per thousand feet, and you get out of the plane at 13,500 and fall at approx 120 mph lets see doing the math, it 's kinda cold in freefall but it warms right up once you are under canopy..HA HA . I does get a might on the chilly side in the winter but it feels wonderful in the summer.
  21. What are you saying, a person can skydive without long johns and a parka and fur-lined boots and ear muffs and gloves and socks with heaters in them and a thermal jumpsuit and you can land on grass and not snow. Damn, I thought all those photos in the magazines were airbrushed to make it seem warmer than it is!!!!!! Do I just drive south until no-one recognizes the snow shovel tied to my car.?
  22. We had an S&TA named Dale 4 or 5 years ago, he went out west somewhere, have not heard anything about him recently. Not familiar with anyone named John jumping barefoot although a few others do.
  23. I just stopped by to say that I owe more beer (DAMN!!!) Just got home from making some New Year's Day skydives!. For this part of Michigan that is pretty good. I have been able to jump in every month of the year except January so this was kinda cool. It was great to be jumping again, the weather in December kinda sucked and we weren't able to jump much. Anyway, more beer is on the way!!!!!@
