  1. Yeah...i just thought it was weird. Usually you'll at least see "the cause is being investigated" or something. The reason the plane crashed is kind of a critical piece to a news report about a plane crash.
  2. Check out the bookstore...a couple weeks ago there was a novel that looked interesting....about a plane being blown up by terrorists!!! I'm not kidding.
  3. Hell...if it's risk taking they're weeding out, there'd be a whole lot of unemployed skydivers....oh wait, there are...they call them packers.
  4. Yeah...he posted the definition earlier. I was thinking of threat in terms of threat assessment and planning for disaster recovery and business continuity. You don't plan for perceived threats, just real ones. There, I just corrected myself. There are perceived threats and real threats. Two different types of threats. That's the point I was making. The cop reacted to the perceived threat. It's a shame that someone had to die since it was not a real threat. But the cop didn't and couldn't know the difference in the time he has to react.
  5. God no. By far the worst aiport ever (O'Hare might be neck and neck). Lucky me, I get to fly in and out of it all the time there. Yeah, i'd stay on that side of the fence too given the time and utter lack of competency there. Next time...
  6. Strange that they give no reason he dumped a plane in the ocean, no?
  7. If you have XP, when you start the install it will give you the option to run a "repair". Do that. Make sure to run it from the OS cd, not a "system image" or "system setup" disk. They usually wipe out everything and put it back to the way you bought it. After the repair, make sure to run windows update.
  8. Dude! How long you there? Can be there in 20 for a beer.
  9. Well...... you really want an answer to that?
  10. When I hear "terrorist volunteers to make video message"....I think, "terrorist wants to send coded message".
  11. Oh shit...I forget I have that DVD...gonna have to bust it out soon.
  12. Besides...I thought Jesus was Santa, not the tooth fairy.
  13. [cartman]Hey, missy...you get your bitch ass in the kitchen and make me some pie![/cartman]
  14. Nope...but I had a good response for your thread title, if that's what you were really looking for. There's this freaky little (like 5 foot tall) guy with thick glasses that goes to the local strip bar and pays girls to go in the back alley with him at the end of the night and fight. I've seen him get his ass kicked quite a few times. He actually is trying too, it's not like he just wants to get smacked around, he punches the shit out of them, but they usually put him down.
  15. But where do I find the plug ins? There are a few different news sites I go to that I can't view video on, it says "unknown plugin missing". How am I supposed to know what the unknown plugin is? Yeah, I'm partially lazy and could probably figure it out but it's easier to just click the little blue e.
  16. As soon as you convince every web master for every website I go to to adhere to standards, let me know In the meantime, I'll stick to my dual browser use.
  17. he means the "copy shortcut" link under a user's name, let's you copy the url to a specific post in a thread.
  18. Me either, cause I can't figure out how to load them for Firefox. Not that I tried hard, I just usually launch IE when I encounter a site that needs them.
  19. That and when you click any of the markup buttons it puts them at the end of your post even if you had the cursor somewhere else. So you can't go back and add bold around somthing using the buttons.
  20. It's ok...I use it for most stuff at home. It sucks for this site. A bunch of features don't work. And it has strange beheavior related to where cursor focus is. Drives me nuts when I'm typing in my google search bar and Firefox decides to randomly put focus somewhere else. And none of the websites for my online banking or credit cards support it. Then there's the hassle with finding the right plug ins. But other than that...it's great.
  21. It's probably an incorrectly registered dll. Without having it in front of me, I'd suggest reinstalling IE.
  22. You're suprised by that? Ever hear of Marion Barry?
  23. And if they would have just given us the real reason in the first place...they wouldn't have been lying. But they didn't. They said what their reasons were, then later said that they really had other reasons. That's called lying. You seem to be ok with that, that's your prerogative. But at least admit that they lied and you support their lies. If I recall the timeline correctly, this was all during the "Kerry's a flip flopper" propaganda machine.
