  1. The camera Im using is wrinkling the top part of the mini DV tape. When I put a tape in I get a ding-ding and then a message on the screen saying please re insert tape. The mechanism seems to eject awfully slow as well. Heads? Should I buy another or send it in to Sony. Any thought's out there. Thx, Deegs Corvette Dude
  2. Thx for the help-you can e-mail me at tbdeegan1@peoplepc.com Blues, Tim Corvette Dude
  3. Can anyone turn me on to a website that I can download and print out illustrated formations(4-way, 8-way) etc. And the names of the formations, To use as visuals for coaching jumps and organizing. My experience is before the dirt dive if you have a visual it will help some become more confident when the dirt dive is done. and sometimes in the actual skydive! Thx in advance, Deegs Corvette Dude
  4. Hey Miami, I to have the sight and mounting bracket that you have-I also own the FF2. One of our vidiots told me to mount the bracket dead center towards the front of the helmet. I am right eye dominant but was told to put the sight closest to the camera(my left eye) have been shooting with the dot on my left eye. Whatcha think? With the bracket mounted dead center front could I not swing the sight both ways to try both my right and left eye? Corvette Dude

  11. I was shooting some fun jumps today and one of our senior(badass video people) fixed this for me once, Fletch is in Florida so I can't ask him. The clarity and the color are excellent but from time to time the picture gets really bright. It records back lighter than I want it to. How to I darken the recording. This happens from time to time when the sun is to my back, on the ground; etc. It just records to brightly. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Am using a Royal Lens .5 Stealth. Corvette Dude
  12. Hey Fletch, Ever do it in an elevator? Thx for the heads up-guess thats what I need to buy since the rest of our video team is going with that camera. Will be in Z-Hills on the 28th-will we see you? If you hear of a good price on one give me a shout. What about a good used one. Been on e-bay but most are new and still in the package.See ya in Florida. Deegs Corvette Dude
  13. Thx VP, Appreciate the tips and the help! Blues, Tim Corvette Dude
  14. Thx for the direct response, hell it's only money right? The Rebel it is. Funny, a question isn't really a question if you already know the answer. I think John Prine used that in a song somewhere back a long time age. Im either really giving up my age or you may remember him to. Thx again bro, and to Lawrence video I go. One more question-what can you recommend for a lens to do tandem stills? Tim. Corvette Dude
  15. I agree-Sony, ok I bought a Sony! Rebel. ok. I'll probably purchas a Rebal. My only question, and I'll be more specific, is the a good camera out there that cost's less. My personal ride is a new vette-go figure! But with my budget after the corvette purchase Im just feeling people out on if there is a suitable option at a lesser price. Thx for the quick response but if you don't inquire and ask? Blues, Tim Corvette Dude
  16. Am purchasing a new camera. All our video dudes fly the Rebel. Is there anything out there that is lighter a bit smaller(I am going to top mount this on my FF2) and a little less pricey that one could shoot tandem stills and still have a quality product to give to his or her customer? Any and all input is greatly appreciated. 65 degree's in Missouri this week-end. Many jumps!!! BUT Z-HILLS in 20 days and counting! Blues, Tim. Corvette Dude
  17. I have a Spectre 170 and have to tell myself to focus on the horizion till opening shock. I still look up-habit I guess. Have yet-I repeat yet, to have a hard opening but rule of thumb is to focus on the horizon till opening. It is still a hard habit to break. Just hope I don't have to learn the hard way. By the way I fly an FF2 with a sony HC 30. Snug, great helmet and not a lot of weight on the head. Can anyone suggest a top mount digital that is small, compact, and does not weigh a lot, but will take quality pics 6-7 pix (?) Thx in advance Deegs Corvette Dude
  18. Sorry guys, I meant mini DV(Sony) and it works great. So what you are both saying is buy a better camer, guess I agree. Will do-again if you have the time recommend a few that I can try to find!!!!!!!!!!!!! O the new vette kinda put a damper on my budget as well. My two addictions-skydiving and vettes, guess there ok fix's to have "eh" Corvette Dude
  19. Any vidiot use this camera? Which one would you recommend and why. Am on a limited budget. After the FF2 and a new DVD camera I just need something that will do the job. HELP! Corvette Dude
  20. A user with DZ.com has a Canon Elpha LT w/remote shutter release mod. Will this make a good top mounted still, and what mounting bracket could you use Corvette Dude
  21. Started flying tandem vids. Have FF2 with a Sony HC 30 Diamond Stealth wide angle. Want to top mount a good digital camera. What works for you vidiots out there. Pls suggest a good one, but I don't want to break the bank. Thx in advance CD Corvette Dude
  22. Awesome helmet, had the cameye installed, shoot an HC 30 with a Diamond stealth low profile .5 lens for tandem video. My problem is and I posted this earlier is that when I am camped out 4-5 feet away from my TM/and passenger it looks like I am a Mile away. The lens people say I can zoom this in halfway. Any suggestions to fixing this problem? Corvette Dude
