Sprained foot/ hurt knee- how long to wait?
TaylorC replied to BelskyBlueEyes's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
i jumped with a sprain foot and it took about 3.5 months to heal instead of like 2 weeks like normal. do what your doctor says trust me it is better in the long run -
you won't get that response if you put 320 in your total jumps box then

A packer up where i live left a slider like that and packed it up. The guy jumped it on his stilleto 120 i think it was and he said it was the hardest opening of his life and he is a big time BASE jumper.

Problem with infinity focus on DCR IP5 with new lens
TaylorC replied to TaylorC's topic in Photography and Video
So i got this new royal diamond lens from a friend the other day. I put it on my camera and all the footage is blurred on infinity focus but when i switch it to auto it is very clear. My old lens is clear on infinity setting and auto setting. Any suggestions on fixing this? -
what are the dates on the invasion this year?

i was thinking about the h-mod but from what my understanding was that it would also make my canopy fly one size smaller which i am not ready for yet

your so funny

I can get nice smooth openings but the slider is just whipping down pretty fast. A lot of people who see video of my canopy always flinch when they see how fast my slider comes down. It is the stock slider on a Cobalt 135. Is this normal? Is there anyway to fix it?

every single one i have seen has had major troubles either with the line set or the canopy is not cut properly. Each typhoon is diffrent cause of the way Chris Stevens makes his canopy.

Looking for 3 dealers that can help me
TaylorC replied to TaylorC's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My insurance company is looking for 3 quotes for my gear. I can get quotes on my reserve, main and aad but i don't know anyone in my area that is a RWS dealer. So if anyone here is a RWS dealer and can help me i just need 3 quotes for a Vector 3 Micron V310 that has extra back padding, stainless steel hardware, Skyhook and full articulation. My email address is taylorc@dropzone.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -

safire 2 119 for someone who weighs 240 out the door
TaylorC replied to TaylorC's topic in Gear and Rigging
he has around 900 jumps, jumping a monarch 150 right now and he has a half decent canopy flying record. Riggerrob you just fixxed his canopy back in the summer. I just don't want him to waste the money on a canopy that is not recommended at that high of a wingloading. And he wants to buy brand new not some good deal. When i made this thread i shoulda pointed out i was just wondering about flight characteristics at that high of a wing loading on a safire. -

Got a friend who wants to get this canopy for himself. I think he should get something more suitable for that wingloading. What do you guys think?
