  1. I have a Spectre 170 and it takes me an hour. (But I'm still learning, still haven't jumped my own pack job).
  2. Shoot. I passed AFF, but then afterwards, have fulfilled most of my A license requirements on the yellow card with my husband, who has about 2400 jumps, but is NOT an instructor. He signed off on a lot of the stuff. Does this mean that it won't count, and I'm going to have to do everything all over again with an instructor, whom of course I'll have to pay?
  3. I'm so happy to be reading these posts! I haven't jumped in a year and a half, this weekend I have recurrency (I finished AFF but don't have an A license yet), and I'm really nervous! And I can't talk about that to my husband (he has 2300 jumps), he can't relate, and for some reason gets annoyed at me when I try to bring up my anxiety. Thinks that if I'm scared, then I shouldn't do it at all. But I want to do it! And so I've been repressing the fear, and it's soooo nice to know that what I feel is perfectly normal!!! I feel less scared and more excited about jumping already. Basia
  4. I feel awful to be the first one to post this on dropzone.com, but we had a fatality at the Ranch this weekend. Lisa Gallagher, from Ohio, unfortunately passed away last night at 7 pm. There's still no official determination of what happened. But what I saw was this: she hooked to prepare to swoop the pond, she was very close to the trees, and her canopy just collapsed and she fell down to the ground, at least 100 feet. No one knows if maybe one of her lines snapped or what. The general opinion seems to be that it had something to do with the thermals coming off the tops of the trees.. Hopefully some other people will post on this matter. I'm very very sorry.
