It should be an average walk of +- 19km a day. What kind of dog is he/she? I've done a mountain hiking trail of 30km the first day with a Ridgeback and we STILL had to play fetch afterwards! The exhiliration we feel when getting out & about is nothing compared to the joy our furry friends sometimes experience. Sounds like a great bonding experience & lots of fun. Parapac inserts on a jumpsuit does wonders! The 'lids' are more for protection against collisions in flight than banging your head against terra firma, although at landings speeds (& some of the types of landings I've seen ) they do offer some protection. The biggest issue is keeping the weight down on headgear, as whiplash when you have a fast opening doesn't need any assiatnce.
