I messed around with head down yesterday for a second. Did a 4 way flower HD exit and flew it...totally cool. Broke off, transitioned to HU and people built a couple of pieces off me. Did a 2way with someone else. They flew base with plans for me to make a dock. I ended up getting 1 hand to hand, and 2 hand to foot. Next week I'm going to work on some serious slot flying and figure out how to fly a two handed dock. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

I kinda hate to burst your bubble but skydiving is on the decline. It has been for the last 5 years or so. The “Go-Go 90’s” yielded mass amounts of disposable income. Movies like Point Break promoted this so-called extreme sport of ours. Right now, we are at the end of a golden age for skydiving. I predict that mega dropzones will go bankrupt in a few years. Places like Perris and Eloy will go the way of the Roman Empire. We will look back and remember how great these facilities used to be. Remember that DC-9 jet that never really happened. The sport will devolve back to small skydiver clubs who fly small Cessna’s to altitude. Manufacturers will be few and far between and will be run out of home garages rather than warehouses. The wind tunnels will be used for scrap metal. Enjoy these amenities while you still can because you will miss them when they are gone. UntamedDOG Dude, you must be kidding. That plane has already flown to Rantoul, delivered supplies to Hurricane Katrina victims, and I hear rumors of a flight to New Orleans during Mardi Gras to crash some boogies. Perris Valley Airlines is up and running. The Conasters aren't going to go bankrupt...they bought that DC9 because they could...you skydive with your extra money, they buy DC9 jets. If you come to Cali, I'll take all the coaching you got. I want to pass my head up and head down Load Organizer tests by the end of 2006. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

They are telling you to de-arch to slow your fall rate down. Arching hard will speed your fall rate up. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

I went to a good general surgeon to have a hernia checked out. He told me to come back when it hurt...in the meantime, he told me to scuba dive, do yoga, ride my dirt bike etc. (wasn't skydiving yet, but if it was cool to ride a dirt bike, then skydiving can't be any worse) That was 2 1/2 years ago. I've been waiting to break a bone or something, and then I'll get it fixed while I am already out of action. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

You have access to some of the best coaches in the world...Mike Swanson, Jon Devore, Eli Tompson, Cisco Neri, John Chisholm...use them and their cameras for a couple of jumps. Then take what they give you and practice on solos, 2ways, LO jumps etc. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

My only real slammer was on a Pilot 168...not sure if it was packing or bad luck. Other than that one insta-canopy, no complaints. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

Just ask her out...and not to a movie. How the hell do you get to talk and flirt with someone at a movie? I always thought movies were lame dates at the start of things personally. If she rows, she's athletic and likes the outdoors...opens up endless possibilities...plus nature sex is great Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

I almost got a V310 Micron...but opted for the 160 reserve over the 143, especially since one day this will be a wingsuit rig. The 310 Micron is also 5.5" thick...like a cinder block on your back Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

The demo canopy it was packed up with came on risers...those risers have rsl rings on both sides, because some containers have left side rsl's (Vortex 2 for instance) Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

I am borrowing a main sight unseen. It is being shipped directly to the loft for an inspection by my rigger...and a hook up...hell, I'm hoping for a pack job out of this as well! Rigger is also sewing Germaine-style "slocks" onto my front risers... Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

Take your new rig to a canopy coach and sign up for a Basic Skills Class. I like to open at 12k with new gear, or for fun, but this is something that has to be worked out ahead of time with the pilot, manifest etc. That is why people are saying to talk to your instructors...because these procedures are different at every DZ, and can change at each DZ depending upon what the upper winds are doing, how many planes are flying, etc. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

My rig is in the loft getting a main hooked onto the risers...I'll post an actual pic when I can. Relative Workshop's website has a rig tour. It is a javascript something so I can't figure out how to post a direct link to it. Click on rig tour in their menu...then highlight the reserve handle. It will show you pics of their three options...you can easily tell the low profile one. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

Just something different...plus easy to tell my rig apart from everyone elses without being ostentatious. It's a V347 - 150main/160 reserve Has a Skyhook RSL, Variable Geometry Harness, freefly pud handle BOC, dlx. backpad, low profile D-ring. Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary
