I think good/great skydiver are the ones that really try to give back to the sport by promoting it in a positive way. That said tandem factories could care less if I come or not since neither me nor my friends are the target market. Since by reputation we know which DZs are the tandem factories we don't even try to frequent those types of operations and we don't hold them to the same standard. We know we are not welcome and we don't go. What I find hard to understand are the DZs that are not tandem factories but for some reason they still find a way to project a strong negative vibe. Luckily the two DZs that I frequent athe most have great vibes.

I have only been to one unfriendly DZ that lacked social graces. Fortunately almost all of the others have rocked. Of course some rocked more than others.

With this type of expext advice I don't see how anything could possibly go wrong. People learn a lot in 80 jumps and should feel indignant when people with thousands of jumps disagree with their expert opinion. Hey Remi at least you are riding. Here in Iowa it is still pretty damn cold. However, maybe you can come here in July and do RAGBRAI with us. It is one of the best bike rides anywhere if you like biking and partying. I'm pretty sure RAGBRAI would make Remi happy.

Yes it is OK to double stow your rubber bands and this is normal for people who use large rubber bands. In answer to your question about looseness you should be able to lift up your D-bag by the lines and the stows should not be released. You are trying to have tension of around 8-12 pounds on your line stows. If you are not sure ask your friendly neighborhood rigger.
