  1. howzit i am also new to this craziness and totally skyhooked. I am jumping in SA, scenery not to great at our DZ but when i freefall i am not even aware of the ground and when i am underneath my canopy i am very nervous, so i dont really look around, well i do but i dont register, consentrating to hard. I did my levels 1-8 last weekend and finished my 9-10 on saturday. Level 9 is awesome, its a spinning test and you wil love it. I am doing my ISP probably this weekend and want to also get my A liscense soon. Then the next level and the next, there is so much to learn in the sky and i love the freefall. anyway just thought id say hi. Sucks that you cant jump as much, but you have the scenery which is a bonus. Maybe you should come check south africa out. Very cool DZ's. later Skyhooked
  2. hi well the ground doesnt exist for some reason when i freefall, and i am falling at 135, the canopy controll like everyone has said, will come with experience i am sure. Will look into a canopy control course. have you jumped 15 times in one year? anyway shot for the reply
  3. hey pj, shot for the mail, very cool hearing from you, just to let you know i passed levels 9-10 this weekend. the spinning test was awesome and i went for it like a madman, the hop and pop was a little scary and i was very unstable and i am forgetting to arch when i pull, but the canopy control is getting there. Still petrified underneath it. I landed on my feet again and not in the tall grass!!! like you said it will come with experience. Very eager to do my ISP. I have officially lost my soul to skydiving. Hope to see you soon Skyhooked
  4. hi i have just finished my AFF levels 1-8 and am hooked, terrified under the canopy though, when i am in freefall though i am not even aware of the ground. Also seem to misjudge my landing spot. Skydiving has stolen my thoughts, appetite and dreams. I simply love it and would love advise from anyone ... like they said, i know now why the birds sing and i look up at the sky through new eyes ...
