  1. Ya, I miss those days too... I could fit EVERYTHING I owned in the whole world in that car and drive off!!! It was cool.
  2. My starter also failed, took a month or two before I replaced it. I could push start it myself most of the time!!! I had 2 of my friends with me and I stalled it in a busy intersection, they had to get out and push start me....It was great!
  3. mmmm. which dealer???? Usually a MAF will over-report the weight of the air at low RPM and under-report the weight of the air at high rpm, which shows up in the long and short term fuel trims.... Unless there is a short or open in the internal circuitry of the MAF, there is really no reason to replace it. But I see what you mean, I have replaced several to C.M.A., you know when I am not sure if cleaning will work. That may be what the dealer you work for is trying to avoid.....
  4. I had a 74 bug, with FUEL INJECTION, it was the shit... one of the injectors started leaking, it pumped all my gas out in less than 10 miles, when I noticed and pulled over gas was pouring all over my engine!! I thought for sure my car was going to catch on fire. I could only afford one injector every pay period (2 weeks), it took 8 weeks to replace all of them. Ran great after that!!! glad to be here!!
  5. Sometimes though, I have tested several MAFs, after testing with scope and monitering data with a MODIS, I will remove the MAF and clean the hot wire. We stock a specific cleaner for this. Usually that will solve the problem, once the gunk is cleaned off the hotwire, the signal voltage will return to normal and the car will run fine. But of course, that does not always work, depends on the vehicle......
  6. If the alternator is not working, your car will not go far.... glad to be here!!
  7. I feel really bad for the families of the victums of 9/11. I read somewhere that the average "settlement" or money they recieved from the government is over $1,000,000 for each family, sometimes even more. Even if the families get a cut of the money from the movie, I will not see it. Every time I think of that day I get really depressed. Each soldier that gets killed in the current war gets around $12,000 to $15,000 (from the government, not including Soldier's Group Life Insurance, that is seperate, the premium is deducted out of each soldiers paycheck). If they want to help, they should donate some money to the families of the fallen men and women of our military that are putting themselves in harm's way everday. Anyway, did not mean to rant. glad to be here!!
  8. Masturbate...... glad to be here!!
  9. NO, my personality defines me. My kids define who I am etc. Jumping is a lot of fun. I think skydivers in general posses a certain "trait" that attracts us to the sport. glad to be here!!
  10. Very nice...that is what I am talking about. glad to be here!!
  11. I have experience with the Bonding process.... Hey Hans, this is Ryan, I was planning on coming out this past weekend. The wife went into pre-term labor on Wed. night. We had to take her to the hospital, the doctors were able to stop the labor. She was able to come home last night. Now she is on bed rest. Hopefully she can make it until her 36th week (which is 2 weeks from now). So let's keep our fingers crossed. Once we have this baby, you will be seeing more of me and the kids. Hope all is well, tell Sandy I said hello. Talk to you later Ryan glad to be here!!
  12. 1989 BMW 525i....love the car. It looks a little beat up, but it runs great. Has 270,050 miles on it!!! glad to be here!!
  13. Broke my tib on a military jump once, had a bad PLF, hurt like a mo-fo glad to be here!!
  14. Sorry you had such a negative experience.... Hopefully you will get your property returned to you. glad to be here!!
  15. OK everyone, I seriously screwed up! A couple of months ago I bought a nice, new Hustler Magazine. ( I needed something to "do", I was out of town and in a Hotel room by myself, and yes I am ready for the barrage of jokes.) Well I left the friggin thing in my suitcase and my kids found it this morning. My wife called me very upset. My oldest daughter is 6, the other 2. I mean, shit, what if she looked through the damned thing, that is some raunchy shit. I feel sick to my stomach, that was the last thing they needed to see, espacially my oldest, I mean she is six for crying out loud. Anyway, how on earth do I talk to her about it? Should I try to let it blow over and not mention it? Or do I try to address the situation? Anyway, some advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks, Ryan glad to be here!!
  16. I hate it when jumpers(I guess it happens in all aspects of life, people are people)get these attitudes. I put 65-70 jumps on my rig before I could afford an AAD. I jump with as much SA as when I did not have it. A good friend of mine in NC, he has been jumping since 1970 overheard me voicing my concerns about not having one (I too had someone tell me I was stupid for not having an AAD. Told me to stay away from him etc). My buddy, Greg, pulled me aside and said, "Look Ryan, I have been jumping over 30 years without an AAD, just be careful, do not jump with someone you do not trust and be aware of what is around you, you will be fine." I think there is a lot more reasons out there that are killing skydivers. Monitering your altitude, looking at the ground, when the ground gets really big, it is time to pull. Maybe look out the window when you reach the cloud ceiling and then checking you altimeter and using that as a reference. Anyway, that is my 2 cents. If a DZO wants to make AAD's manditory, then all the power to him. I support his decision. The DZO has invested money and time to make it happen, he can make those decisions. If not, then so be it. Anyway, you'all have a great time at the Farm this weekend! I have Army Reserve drill, cannot make it. glad to be here!!

    A Tribute

Seeing stuff like that gives me goose bumps. That is really cool..... glad to be here!!
  18. I think she is stressed out with life in general. When my wife gets stressed, it bleeds over into our relationship (ie. sex life, stupid arguements). She might be a little jealous that she cannot go with you. I say buy her some flowers, or perfume or something, go out to eat, have a couple of drinks and make her feel good. You will get rewarded for your effort. glad to be here!!
  19. I used to shave my sack, but I cannot stand the feeling couple of days later. After a few days my balls start to itch like crazy...I mean do I have to shave them every day or what. As soon as the hair starts to grow back I have my hand in my pants scratching the hell out of my grapes... So...I guess I have learned how to live with hairy balls. They do look very nice, and if I shave the whole thing it makes my penis look larger, but it is not worth the torture afterwards. glad to be here!!
  20. A lighter works really well. glad to be here!!
  21. What a dumb BYOOOOTCH!! Hopefully she feels really stupid.... But I would not be able to forgive for something like that. glad to be here!!
  22. If I can make it at all it will be Sunday!!! I might bring the kids too...
