I quit smoking about 10 years ago. It really sucked. I tried many times cold turkey, did not work. I found that I had to gradually stop. I stopped taking cigarettes to work. I found that over time I was cutting my smoking down to 10 a day, to 6 a day to 4 to 2 etc. It got to the point that I did not want to smoke anymore. When I seriously cut back, cigarettes tasted like SHIT. So I found that I no longer craved them. Good luck!!! glad to be here!!

I agree with Ian on this one. If she freaks that means she has low self esteem and that really sucks the longer the relationship goes. But, if she finds it fun and is open minded about it, then cool deal glad to be here!!

I have a couple, but is sure is becoming pretty "mainstream", espacially with shows like Miami Ink etc. I think the tatto craze got a boost when the chopper build offs started to be cool. Monster garage also kind of mainstreamed the attitude also.... If I were to get another it would totally have to be something that I thought up of. Luckily the one I have on my right bicep is one that I drew and an artist redrew and put on my arm. So at least mine is an original, no one else will have one like it. glad to be here!!

I am going to hang in there for another 10 years or so...this will be my 14th year(with six active). I figure I will make at least 1SG or higher if I do not screw up.... The more rank you get, the more time and commitment it requires. OK...so we have photographic evidence that you have a VAGINA in you armpit. I am a very strong believer in currency. If you do not jump often, your chances of getting hurt go way up. That has seriously bothered me over the last couple of years. Then I start to think of my 2 year old Cypress 2 sitting in my rig not doing anything!! Dammit, I spent $1275.00 on the freaking thing, I need to get my money's worth! glad to be here!!

Thanks Jimmy...I am going to suggest to her to come up and relax. Luckily, where I jump there is a lot of room for kids to run around. The hanger is not on the flight line. There is a huge grassy area that is blocked off from cars and other traffic, so the kids are not in to much danger. That would be cool, if only she could get to know the people I have the privalege to interact with, she would be asking me to take her to the DZ. glad to be here!!

Thanks for responding John. It is good to hear your perspective, sounds like you have been in the same situation. I do not want to sound corny, but the moment I did my first tandem I realized that jumping was going to be a big part of my life...I think everyone who is a regular jumper feels that desire. Some of us harbor that dream of being an instructor, or a coach, getting a tandem rating etc. Then you reality sets in...hey, I need to jump X number of times per month for the next X years then I would have to be at the DZ every weekend blah blah blah..... I guess I am going to have to work with my wife and family and get a routine going, I would LOVE to jump every other weekend....that would be awesome. Last summer I jumped maybe one day a month, that is not going to work. It's funny, I rush out of work at six...most guys at work are rushing to get home to relax and drink beer. I rush home to knock out as many chores as possible so I have some free time on the weekends. Thanks for taking the time to respond, the support from you guys is pretty cool. We can joke and laugh, but when someone needs a little help, y'all chip in.... glad to be here!!

I think you guys are right. There must be something going on. I do have friends of mine that bitch about similar stuff, but their hobbies are 4-wheeling, golfing etc. thanks for the insight everyone.
