Ouch...I have a buddy that works on Porcshes, he replaced a strut in one of those for $6800.00!!! glad to be here!!
  2. Come on...talk about symptoms, you are the one with a ARMPITGINA story. You even talked about whoring out your ARMPIT!!! All I was saying is, when I get the first wiff of that particular can of "Friskys" cat food, the smell resembles a lets say 20 to 24 hour, unwashed vagina. You know, maybe after a night of drinking and the next day of lets say....yard work in July. glad to be here!!

I work on VWs at the shop I manage. They are really cool cars. We had a 2002 Audi S4 in today for brake work. This car has a 3.0 liter, twin turbo, all wheel drive stuffed in an A4 body. Really fast and cool. BUT, the brakes were almost $1200.00! They are great cars, but they require a lot of maint. and they can be expensive to fix. glad to be here!!
  4. Or, I could leave the house at 6 or 7 in the morning, get to the DZ. Make 3 or 4 jumps by noon or one o'clock and haul ass home....then it would not be an all day, into the night affair. glad to be here!!
  5. Ya, that is a good point. Somehow I need to get her out of the house and meet some people. The only people she seems to have around here is her parents and her sister, who drive her crazy. Her best friend Shannon is ignoring her because she (Shannon) has a new boyfriend. Now that I think about it, she really does not have anyone in the area she can hang with while I am gone.... glad to be here!!
  6. Sometimes...well I guess so. I never go out with friends after work etc. But if I do that does not really go over well either.... glad to be here!!
  7. My wife is a stay at home Mom. When she got pregnant with our second, she quit her job as a Marketing Manager for a Software company to stay home with the kids. In reality she does most of the child rearing. I have invited her to the DZ several times. She came out one time, but she feels like she does not know anybody and does not have anything in common with anyone out there. But I will say this, even with my low jump numbers, in her mind I put skydiving above yard work, house work etc...that does not make sense to me. glad to be here!!
  8. Ok... I have to say, this actually made me laugh out loud, a lot. But this is the wierdest thing I have ever heard. We have 2 cats, and we feed them canned food once a day as a "treat". There is this one can that when I walk into the kitchen the smell hits me. My hole kitchen smells like a giant, sweaty VAGINA. Just because it is my kitchen, makes the smell pretty gross. glad to be here!!
  9. Hi everyone...I need some advice here. Let me give you some background first. 1. I love to skydive. I, like most of you out there, have invested a lot of money and time into the sport. I scraped together the money to buy the pieces for my rig, assembled them with a buddy of mine who is a rigger. Bought a used jumpsuit and a Protec helmet etc. 2. Like most of you I work full time. My Job is Monday through Friday, a pretty demanding field, but it pays the bills and I actually have fun with it. 3. I am married, (11 years) have 2 great daughters. My daughters usually come to the dropzone with me and hang out and play (they are 2 and 6 years old). Along with having a family is trying to balance spending time with them, maintaining the house, yard etc. 4. I am in the National Gaurd, I am a Platoon Segeant, so I cannot miss a drill and usually end up doing much more than the "one weekend a month, 2 weeks a year" gig. I usually do at least a Friday through Sunday per month and this year I am looking at almost six weeks of training instead of two. My problem is this....when I mention to the wife I want to ride up to the dropzone, she flips out. Lays a guilt trip on me (I am never home, do not spend any time with her or the kids). I looked at my log book the other day and I have made maybe 4 jumps since last summer...that sucks. How does someone go about balancing a full time job, a family etc and still jump a good amount? I am almost worried that my low jump numbers over the last couple of years could be a safety issue. Anyway, I thought I would post this. It looks like we are going to have decent weather this weekend in Ga and I do not have drill this upcoming weekend. I mentioned going to the dropzone Sat. morning and all hell broke loose. A joke or any insight would be great.... Ryan glad to be here!!
  10. Cool, way to support a productive hobby. I wanted to be a pilot growing up and my parents told me I was crazy. They called me a busdriver in the sky! glad to be here!!
  11. I'll buy it, I'll buy it!!! Sight unseen.... Just kidding. glad to be here!!

    FRESH KEG!

Enjoying my first draft beer from my freshly stocked "keg-a-rator". Still have a little air in the line, but a few more drafts and that will be gone!!
  13. Every time I have tried to jump so far this year, the weather has been crap!! Been to the Farm only 3 times and jumped twice. It is either raining, or windy or both. THEN, on the good weekends I have to go off and do my National Gaurd duties. Then, sure enough, during the week it clears up, the temperature soars to 65 or 70, I am trapped at work, looking at the sky, then BAM! Saturday morning, rain, 35 degrees, then BAM, Sunday, wind guests over 20mph. Well, just wanted to rant, now I am trapped at the house, have to clean out the storage area in my basement. Hope the people that are jumping are having a great time and are safe. Later Ryan glad to be here!!
  14. A retired Army Officer once told me something. He said "No matter how hot a chick is, somewhere, there is somebody that is sick of her shit!" glad to be here!!
  15. THEY ARE BOYS!!! You were looking at a lady-boy website. Ya Ya glad to be here!!
  16. Hey, I am not really into supplements myself. Any food that is high in carbs after a work out is good. Make sure to steer clear of eating during or immediately after your workout. When you lift, a large amount of growth hormone is released throughout your body. Take advantage of this release!! The moment you eat, your body produces insulin and it cancels the hormone production. Wait at about twenty minutes after your done lifting to eat. Just drink water if you have to... Good Luck glad to be here!!
  17. If I drink coffee on an empty stomach I feel like I am getting a buzz, then I get the jitters also...I kind of like it though. I could not imagine drinking coffee without caffeine. glad to be here!!
  18. I jump because I have had a life-long interest and obsession with aviation. When I was a kid I worked at an Air Museum in Kalamazoo MI. I was trying to get my private pilots license. I started a college program for aviation (to become a commercial pilot), but my parents refused to support me. I got mad, left home and joined the Army. 14 years later, a wife, 2 kids with one on the way, I cannot afford to fly, so I jump. I get a lot of satisfaction out of it, it is fun. I also enjoy the technical side of the sport. The attention to detail when packing, pre-jump inspections etc. appeal to me. Anyway, that is why I like the sport. Ryan glad to be here!!
  19. Go to the "Lobby" in 17th Street station. They do not have Sushi, but have a great menu and the restaraunt is really cool. glad to be here!!
  20. Jeez, where on earth did you take your car. That is such a common problem with VWs and Audis, for a while we were fixing 2 or 3 of those a week!! glad to be here!!
  21. 1989 BMW 525i, black, sun has faded the trunk skydive stickers all over the back. 267,000 miles. Not to fancy, but I love my car.... glad to be here!!
  22. That was cool, I showed everybody at work.. glad to be here!!
  23. I would say no!! Shit like that can lead to problems down the road. It will drive a wedge between you two. glad to be here!!
  24. Sorry to hear that, my sister's car was totaled by a drunk driver. When he opened the door of his truck he fell out, he had a plastic cup full of some very potent mix drink. Lucky he did not kill her. At least you did not get hurt.... glad to be here!!
