no, not 80 I would think it'd be something like 20 to the power of 20. A bloody large #. :) "If I ventured in the slipstream; Between the via-ducts of your dreams.......could you find me?"

my post seemed quite logical to me. Not trying to undercut you in anyway, but logically, if you don't have any problem at all with gays, then you wouldn't have a problem with anything, or any way that they conduct their lives, and interact with the rest of society. It wouldn't be a them-and-us situation it would just be an US situation. Is my logic flawed? "If I ventured in the slipstream; Between the via-ducts of your dreams.......could you find me?"

Ok, I'm back. "I don't have a problem with Gays.. That wasn't what we were talking about.. " Apparently you do have a problem with gays, otherwise you wouldn't have posed the question in the first place. this is descending to trolling, I'm out of this as well. "If I ventured in the slipstream; Between the via-ducts of your dreams.......could you find me?"

brainstem? rhino attack? strikes me as an attack on the recently popular notion of equality and tolerance, which is the intellectual property of the people who hold it. Therefore we with the aforementioned beliefs are as much attacking you, as you're attacking us. course, it didn't start out this way, but through each side defending it's stance, this is what it's become. "True.. But it's our job as parents to raise our children according to our belief system. If my son comes home with another man and says he loves him he is in BIG trouble. I will uphold my belief system where my children are concerned. I will do just that because I believe my belief system is the right one. That is a gift that we have as parents. The gift to shape and mold these little people into better people than our parents did us." I can't believe I'm replying to this thread. Well, I just wanted to say, that I think that you're coming at this from the wrong angle. How do you expect to "mold these little people into better people than our parents did us" by using your "belief system"? That's like a robot trying to make a paper airplane outta sheet-metal. I think we need to raise our childern to be objective, and intelligent enough to find and make the right decisions on their own. IF your belief system is right AND you believe in it SO strongly, then an intelligent, objective young person should see no fault with it, and wholeheartedly agree with you. But I will raise my children with the freedom of choice, by NOT imposing my belief on them. And if I do well enough, they should turn out just fine. Morning Guys, Wow, every morning I come in, there's some new debate going on. I love this. It can be very constructive. After reading everything over, I thought I'd just add a couple lines: When I first started jumping last spring, I was in a small town alone, with about 2 other jumpers (which I only found out about later), and I turned to the internet as a resource, For: A) Getting my fix B) Learning as much as I could C) Reading about sheep and such. Over the past year, I lurked quite a bit, posted rarely, and tried to absorb as much as was possible. I think I've done a fairly good job thus far of "separating the wheat from the chaff"; but I have to admit, that there's been times where I'll be reading advice on canopy control, or whatever, only to find out that the advice given was either inaccurate, or ineffective. Sure, most techniques will get you half-way, but there's always that secret little touch, which comes from experience, that makes what you're trying to accomplish all come together. I'm also a skier, who competes in 'tricks' events (newschool). Years ago, before I ever tried a backflip, my time would be spent researching, rewinding-and-replaying, disecting body position, trying to absorb EVERYTHING from AS MANY SOURCES as was possible. Ask everyone the same question, and take the average answer was my technique. Some things I went into, I went in over my head, and payed for it, with internal damage, broken limbs, etc. Why? Because I rushed it. I wanted to dial in the trick that I saw in the magazine before I was truly ready. We're all guilty of being a little over eager sometimes to try a new position, a new exit, a new whatever, and for the most part that's OK. But when it comes to things, like a backflip, where it'd be easy to snap your neck with one wrong move (and that's skiing, not Skydiving, so multiply the danger factor by about 9.8), we really gotta gather as much info as we can, and not say "oh well, so and so said this on the forum, so I'll go try it". That's what we're all scared of here, seeing someone run out to meet a load, leaving DZ.com advice fresh on the monitor, mouse dangling in the air, while someone types madly to correct it in time. We don't want to lose anyone. So the concern is fair; but I don't think it should lie only on the posts of 'unexpericenced' jumpers. People need to have the common sense to survey as many opinions, techniques, and styles as possible on here, AND in real life. Failing to do so is senseless and I'd like to think, below most of us. We are here because we want to use this resource as one way, of many, to immerse ourselves in the sport and learn something. Therefore, in closing :), it's _my_ opinion that querying peoples profiles for their jump #'s, and having that value come up on each post would be a good idea. I had no idea that some of the people I was paying attention to knew jack, and that some of the other people were very knowledgable. Of course this isn't based soley on jump #'s, but come on, if you're gonna sit there and say they don't mean something, you're kidding yourself. If lurkers, and posters alike knew each-others in-air experience, along with reading about how they had 2 mals in a row, it'd help to form a better idea of what context to take said advice. *disclaimer* The 2-mal example was meant to suggest that his/her experience would be somethng we'd all be wise to listen to. hose bed of a fire truck. One of the many 'perks' of being on a volunteer fire team serving a community without a full-time one. Great place to take dates back to later on... oh baby, good times. :) "If I ventured in the slipstream; Between the via-ducts of your dreams.......could you find me?"

I'm vegan. Have been for almost 3 years now. For those that have no idea what veganism is, it's, absolutely NO animal products/byproducts. That goes from everything from fish, to animal derived folic acid, gelatin, etc. right down to the chemicals ingredients. very strict, but surprisingly easy to live. The food is great once you get used to it, and you feel great too. "If I ventured in the slipstream; Between the via-ducts of your dreams.......could you find me?"

when I did my heli jump, the pilot that came to the DZ told us it was his first time with skydivers. After 3 loads, he was too sketched out to take anymore, even though he was booked for about 8 I think. They do buck. Yeah, when I was on the skid, I was surprised about the lack of wind. Just looked through to the guy on the opposite side, counted, and let go. Can't push-off or anything, you just have to fall. I faced the interior, held on to the door-frame, and fell back into a sweet laid-out back-loop. Man, it was great. May first tracking dive too! We were let out waaay long. The pilot told us to get out when his alti read 9000'. Turns out, on teh ground that he wasn't going by AGL. So we were out at around 6 grand. It was a Bell Jet Ranger III, don't know if altitude capabilities differ that much between birds. "If I ventured in the slipstream; Between the via-ducts of your dreams.......could you find me?"

have I mis-read alot of posts on here or do we have some pretty 'talented' computer people here? Can some one do their best to trace the guy, at least by IP, and somehow figure out his proximity to her? If he's across the nation, michele might be a little more at ease. Also, it might help her ID the guy. Just a thought to help out a family member. "If I ventured in the slipstream; Between the via-ducts of your dreams.......could you find me?"
