  1. Well maybe you're right happy. I guess we'll see. My post wasn't meant to infer he's an idiot or anything, I just have never seen him as having that ambition to go for the presidency. But, he could come out in a year and say he is, so who knows.
  2. Hopefully McCain or Giulliani. I don't think Jeb will get there, I just don't see it. The other two...I think so.
  3. Ahhh good ol garrand thumb...did it once, then went w/ what airtwardo said. And for everyone who's saying .223 is expensive...how poor are you? You can get a 1000 rounds for a 100 bucks, plus shipping, so about 11-12 cents per round...that's pretty good. And that's for brand new stuff...I'm sure you can find some surplus crap somewhere. Plus, an AR-15 is for good fun, not for protection...that's the last one of my collection I would grab if some idiot broke into my house. Thirdly, 99% of "informed" gun owners/operators use "magazine" vs "clip." The only time I ever hear them interchanged is from people who don't know as much, and I don't give a shit b/c I know what they mean. Nonetheless, I almost never hear people "in the know" use them incorrectly. P.S. mneal - It was easier to say everythig in one post, the only thing applying to you is the garrand thing.
  4. Or were you simply trying to beat him to her?
  5. ***John shes is 20yrs old....*** Last I checked 20's legal...go Kallend, go!
  6. You know, you always makes those jokes...but then when it's the Army instead of the Navy, you just wonder what went wrong w/ the world
  7. Yeah, airport security didn't catch me when I snuck 69 hookers from Vegas through the checkpoint...best souvenirs ever!
  8. Well shit, w/ 10% being inspected, it doesn't matter who's running the damn port...we could even have a reality show where Donald Trump picks the lucky winner to run the port themselves. It doesn't matter b/c only 10% get inspected now, which means AQ can easily get crap in. W/ those odds, they'll only lose 10% of it. Our security plan at ports needs to be fixed, not who's running them (economically).
  9. The fact that you're seriously considering this (and by this I mean both facets) is shear lunacy. You're going to go get a gun which you know nothing about or how to shoot. I give you about a 6-9% chance of living if "they" show up, b/c most likely they've used guns before and you haven't, they're probably used to something like this and you're gonna shit your pants when it goes down, etc. Go to the police, it's the ONLY good choice you have.
  10. Well if he was refering to soley port security, then yeah, it's a fuckin joke. But as a whole, our security is a hell of a lot better than most countries. I think I read something a while ago where they check (for bombs, drugs, etc.) less than 10% of containers that come into US ports. That's just ridiculous.
  11. Yeah, and how is our security compared to say, the majority of the world's countries? Think about it...
  12. No, there is a large moderate group. There's a large group pissed at the stupid antics of the Democrats' leftist bullshit and there's a large group pissed at the right-wing politics of the Bush admin. There certainly is a large group of people who hate both sides and would love to see someone who meets somewhere in the middle...perhaps McCain, that's my hope.
  13. Good job Kallend, you're learning! No, Katrina was not some epic disaster. People who says, "this is our sunami" are a bunch of fucking idiots and need to pull their heads out of their asses. Katrina was nothing compared to what other parts of the world have suffered, including in recent time.
  14. Well first of all, the company taking over has been operating ports forever, not to mention several members of the leadership are American. And, the Coast Guard and US Customs will still have control over security. So really, it's a matter of economics and has little to do w/ security. A foreign company may run and operate the port, but that doesn't mean they can do whatever the hell they want. We'll still control security and have Americans working for and helping run the company. This is just another stupid thing that gets uniformed people's panties into a bunch.
  15. No fucking way should she run. If she gets the Democratic ticket, it will just add to the shear buffoonery that the Democrats have been pumping out. They can't seem to pick a good candidate, or good leadership...so they need to pick someone much more moderate to have a chance at all.
  16. Well the Vietnam numbers have already been disproven, but for better sake how about WWII? Both sides lost millions...so no, Iraq is NOT of epic proportions.
  17. ***raq war has failed miserably and has turned into a quagmire of epic proportions/quote] A quagmire of epic proportions would be 58,000 dead in Vietnam. This is not a quagmire of epic proportions. It has also not failed miserably; we have accomplished a lot. However, before you blast me for diasgreeing w/ you on that, do note that it is obvious that these people are uncontrollable for the most part, and are diving into the beginning of a massive civil war. Yes, it is time to start pulling out slowly and just let the fuckers kill each other off. But in the end, we need to be careful not to just let a playground of unruly kids become completely unprotected from some street gang thugs (i.e. Iran). That's something to think about.
  18. God, that place is the wild west. A bunch of savage idiots over there...just let them kill each other off, the world will be a better place for it. Yeah, because they actually do justice the right way. You murder someone, you get hung. You steal something, maybe your hands get cut off. You rape a girl, you get your nuts chopped off and probably still get hung. People are sure as hell a lot less likely to commit a crime w/ guaranteed punishments like that. But here in America where you can kill 5 kids and get out in 20 yrs, what the hell is so bad about that (comparatively)? If we had punishment like these countries, we'd be a lot better off. Just an observation.
  19. All interesting...you learn something every day!
  20. Yet another person I'd like to see hanging from a piece of fucking string while I laugh at her and enjoy a nice cold beer.
  21. So they just have to show the van der Sloots probably had something to do w/ it...and that's enough to warrant millions (which is what I'm assuming this lawsuit is going for)? Wow, seems pretty ridiculous. This in no way means I'm supporting the van der Sloots, but just seems pretty crazy people can win money over a mere suspicion. Whatever happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty?
  22. Too fast and not enough pain. Hanging for a few minutes while I laugh in his face while drinking some beer is much more fun.
